I'll stick by my original comment. Disney will quietly settle this case if the money is right and the family signs a non disclosure agreement.

If not then all hell will be turned loose on this family:
Did you read the fine print on the ticket which releases us of ALL liability? It is a valid contract.
Why did your child die when 500,000 others did not?
Ride was inspected and therefore safe!

A child has no income to speak of so the only damages we are talking about here are:
Medical bills
Burial Bills
Pain and Suffering
