I heard a news report that said there was no sign of any trauma. The mother is screwed as far as lawsuits go.
I have children and can only imagine her pain but it would not occur to me to sue Disney for this incident. I am not familiar with this ride but say 20 people go at a time. You stand in line and watch groups of 20 go ahead of you for 30 minutes and see them all come off laughing. You know your son is barely over the height limit for the ride but you agree to try to get him thru because if you don't he is going to whine the rest of the day. You get on with 18 other people and your son dies. You don't die and the 18 other people don't die but you feel guilty because you told your son to stand on tiptoes to make the height limit and now he's dead. I would shoot myself before I'd try to manage my guilt by sueing Disney. The woman should be charged with murder of her son.
