Actually the French did everything they could to get out of it. It was finally the arguement of "sticking it to the Brits" that finally convinced them to show up and lend a small hand. The French weren't there for 200 years afterward to help us. Oh yeah, the Frenchies (French Intel)also stated they believed Saddam had WMD, they just didn't have the balls to do anything about it(actually he bribed them).
