Is there any rhyme or reason to adult video box cover design?

The best I can come up with is "force the maximum amount of crap into a fixed area so that the entire smorgasbord will be completely indiscernable amongst the tens of thousands of other fixed areas with too much crap forced into them which reside on the same shelf."

i see you have looked at DVSX covers.



i'm a fan of the one chick on the cover approach. and maybe list the other bitches on there or something. it's just easier on the eyes.

while i'm into the product i do like a lot of metro's recent covers.

I appreciate PXP's covers in that you can spot a PXP dvd right away because their covers have a certain style to them...

but in general if a cover looks like a train wreck i really don't but much effort into looking into it.

So...what's the deal with the crammed-crap stuff then? Makes about as much sense as those rap album covers.

they must work on some levels...particularly Evil Angel..but then slap Jules Jordan's name on it and I don't think the boxcover matters......
