Jamie, I am unfamiliar with censorship in Canada. Is it a big problem up there?

Pornography is regularly censored in Ontario. Fisting is legal and isn't cut, but other things, it seems, are. Things that don't necessarily seem offensive, just in bad taste. It's up in the air movie to movie what exactly the censors deem obscene. At times, it feels like they edit on a whim. Reading reviews on rame, I'm often able to conclude what or wasn't edited.
For example, I'll rent a movie like Cum Fart Cocktails, and it features a girl farting cum into another girl's mouth, or into a glass, what have you. It won't be cut at all.
On the same shelf, I'll rent A Load In Every Hole, and when it comes for the girl to fart the cum into a glass -- it will suddenly be edited out. Huh, WTF? You'd think that farting cum into another woman's mouth would be a little more offensive. It was a total joke. No rhyme and no reason.
Since the 1980's, the Ontario Film Review Board have moved to ban only three mainstream films by not rating them, which, in essence, kills any chances of a theatrical run. The three flicks that were deemed 'obscene' by the OFRB's skewed standards are Louis Malle's 'Pretty Baby', Volker Schlondorff's 'The Tin Drum' and Catherine Breillate's 'Fat Girl'.
They also recently moved to have Joel Bender's film 'Deadly' about Ontario serial killers Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka, banned. Incidentally, banning films in Canada is illegal.
Funny, when the powers that be announced that 'Deadly' was going to be banned in Ontario, there was quite literally a major furor about it. People that I know who have never thought of downloading a movie off the net, were asking me how to DL. Others wanted to know if I knew somebody that was able to download 'Deadly' for them. No consenting adult wants to be told by other consenting adults what mainstream movies that they can or can't watch. Considering the impact that these two serial killer fucks had on the surrounding community, the idea that Joe-Nobody in Idaho can watch it, and we can't, is a major slap in the face. Fuck the OFRB!
I knew when I saw Howard Hampton (of the NDP) challenge the usefulness of the OFRB up in Parliament two months ago, that as a government body, the OFRB was on their last legs. Good riddance!
