Oh no, I guess I didn't explain it very well. I agree. I just meant that if they smell horrible, like a football locker room, from wearing canvas converse shoes all day, July in Texas, with no socks, then I'm put off.

I don't know about the fine wine reference, , but I like some flavor, too.
