It was implicit in your words, but I think that it's best to spell these things out explicitly, lest your argument be misunderstood as that of an anti-sex prude. The "sex-positive" types you refer to aren't generally the most critical of thinkers.
I also think that casual sex can be psychologically damaging in a subtle but cumulative way. It's more of a gut feeling than something I could back up with hard evidence though.
