Hookers fuck only for the cash, and try to get the maximum dollar for minimum work. Whores, though they may be compensated, actually enjoy fucking.I recently had the pleasure of shooting a scene with some one who obviously didn't want to be there. She kept "running " from the penis, fighting every insertion at every chance. When we stopped for stills, I was stroking to keep my wood, and on the sofa, the girl curls up into a fetal ball, and almost starts crying. I'm not a rapist, and I had the director talk to her. When asked why she put herself through this, her reply was money. Dont get me wrong, I do this for money as well, however, I actualy enjoy what I do. I hate working with girls for whom, the end result of their work is un importaint. At the end of the day, it's always percieved as male talents fault if a scene sucks. People viewing at home have no clue what went on behind the scenes. There are far easier, and less stigmatic ways to make a buck without subjecting youself to fucking for money, and only money.
On another shoot, the girl held the set hostage, negotioating everything, almost down to the number of strokes in each position IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING SCENE! The director put up with it because he really wanted to shoot her. She then complains that I actually had the nerve to keep fucking her slowly while we were taking stills to keep my edge! Apparently, that was not negotiated. after The director asks her to be more energetic and into the scene, and at least pretend to look like she wants to be there, she says "I can't fake like I'm enjoying this.!!!
At that point I lost it and started screaming at her "This is not for you, or my personal enjoyment, I'ts for the guy who pays 29.99$ of his hard earned money to by this dvd! We work for the fans you ignorant skank! IT"S YOUR JOB TO PRETEND THAT YOU ARE ENJOYING THIS! YOU ARE A FUCKING PERFORMER!!! IF YOU DONT LIKE THIS, GO SELL YOUR ASS ON THE STREET!!!" Believe me, I certainly am not attracted to every girl I work with, but I never let her know that. It's un professional. I try to make every girl I work with feel like they are the most beautiful girl in the world, if only for my own self serving reason of wanting a good scene. Yes, I am a manwhore, however I actually care about the quality if my work, and I take my job very seriously. i'm not a hooker guy, not even really a stripper guy and when a girl can't even pretend she's not punching a clock i hate the scene. i'm with you on this one and i don't have to sit there jerking off in front of camera guys so some chick can buy meth and act like she's above the reality of what she's doing. lots of people don't love their jobs but constantly acting visibly tortured while doing them is a way to lose them. maybe tenured academics, heirs to the walton fortune and a few other ways to make a living allow you to have a noticably shitty attitude but the bulk of those people end up in welfare lines or working the same job at 49 as they got when graduating highschool. it's consolation, but hard to think of in the immediate sense and as a consumer it's pretty hollow and reason to avoid studios and directors.

This is the one thing that disappoints me about the cage, that sometimes threads like these get overlooked, i think it gives a great insight to some of the shit that goes on during a porn shoot.

I'm not whining. Of course I love my job. I better....I chose it! So did the two girls that I used in my real life examples. If you cant see the good of this job enough to do it well, or at least give a damn about how the scene looks, get the fuck out! Since we are talking about the "real world" here, how long do you think Mc Donalds will tolerate the same girls if they had the same outward disdain for their profession? I dont think it would be attitude to get porn girls fired fast from wal mart, it would be the inability to show up on time, return a call or stay sober for more than 20 minutes.

All jobs (even porn) require a certain level of profesionalism in order to keep them. Attitude, attendance, and sobriety or lack there off all fall under that category. The sad thing is, if it were any other industry, this would not even need to be brought up for discussion. It would be a forgone conclusion.

i saw something in bidnessweek a while ago that walmart had around 1.5 million employees, that's fucking insane. that's over an employee for every 200 people and if my math's right they're over 1% of the GDP.
i haven't been to one more than a dozen times, they're too expensive to build around overdeveloped non-whiteflight cities and they haven't figured out you have to start bribing the irish at the city council level for a permit. what i remember is i could buy pets and weapons in the same building that smelled like twizzlers. i don't like that place, their animals looked sickly and they had shitty guns.
