No matter how hard Moore tries he will never be as good at propoganda as Joe Goebbels, nor he likely to be in Riefenstahl's class as a filmmaker.

JRV, has hit upon my thoughts exactly, this "filmmaker" is nothing more than a propagana minister, why anyone would pay is beyond me- although even if free i wouldn't partake.

It is our steadfast belief that Michael Moore has violated the public trust by presenting misrepresentation, factual inaccuracy and dramatic re-creation as truth in his films. He has usurped time-honored ethics of journalism, to which documentarians are bound, and has employed classic techniques of deception cognate to totalitarian propaganda. While Michael Moore may assert positions consistent with many in the Democratic Party, such as his criticism of the Iraqi War and the resolution of the 2000 presidential election, his methods used to convey those positions are incommensurable with the ethos of the Democratic Party and with the founding principles of democracy, in which free expression must have as its object the struggle for truth.

We firmly believe that, should the Democratic leadership continue to embrace Michael Moore or fail to unequivocally condemn his tactics, it could very well be at the peril of John Kerry in the November election. HAHA! those bastards at the DNC thought after the Dem. Convention they were gonna get a big push in the polls due to the parading around douchebags like Affleck and Moore, when in reality all they got was a jump in polls in favor of GW.

It's too late to back track now for the Dems. They should of seen that Moore was gonna be cancer instead of a positive voice.

Everybody who might dislike GW enough to vote for any opponent has already decided to do so. The DNC needs to quit beating off on this. The challenge is to make Kerry seem attractive enough so that middle-grounders who are looking for an acceptable alternative to GW will think Kerry is acceptable. This is not a high bar but it does need to be reached.

The question in this election comes down to "Is the devil you know worse than the one you don't?" Everybody knows about GW's blunders; Nobody knows how bad Kerry might be. The more of Moore we see the worse the possibilities seem under Kerry.

Were I DNC I would firmly bury Moore, Clinton and their ilk. The voters still available to convince lean conservative: tell those voters what they want to hear. Moore's stormtroopers will vote Kerry no matter what you do to Moore but too much Moore fawning will turn away the swing vote.

The Republicans, on the other hand, need Moore to get as much coverage as possible. Sure some people buy FH911, but those votes aren't up for grab. The voters that are at stake don't like Moore or Clinton, and sure don't like being told how to vote by some Hollywood idiot (and these voters do realize Hollywood is entirely self-obsessed idiots).

I am still amazed this isn't a slam-dunk election for the democrats. How can this election even be a contest? GW is the weakest candidate I can remember. Tradition made it hard for Republicans to dump GW but the democrats were free to find the best they had, and Kerry is it? They couldn't talk Sam Nunn out of retirement? Even if Kerry wins the democrats need to think deeply about how they managed to make this a contest.

Good points, jrv... The Dems are desperate & they're resorting to the "by any means necessary" mentality. The irony is a guy like me should be supporting them, but after 8 years of Clintonian manipulations it's difficult. I staunchly support the 1st Amendment & all of the Bill Of Rights, but the way the liberals have gone after the 2nd Amendment utterly appals me. However, I think Ashcroft is unfit for duty as well, and the jury is still out on Bush, but I think the best defense is a good offense. Something about Kerry just doesn't seem right, but he's at the "I'll say anything to get elected stage." Now, he's acting like a big advocate for defense, but where was he a year after 9/11 or 2 years after? I didn't hear a peep from him, but now he acts like Bush was asleep at the wheel. I just think if you're living in the NY area you have a greater sensitivity to what happened in 9/11. My brother was 3 blocks away when WTC Tower 2 came crasshing down. Playing politics with that day pisses me off.

Then there's the dreaded Heil Hillary in the offing if Kerry loses. It's looking like a no win situation no matter who wins.

Free health care? No such thing as a free lunch, folks. You ALWAYS pay for it one way or another. Doctors, Nurses, Medical Technicians, even Hospital Janitors.. none of them work for free.
