before i start i would like to say this thread is really for everyone to share what is on their mind in porn lately, so feel free to have your own little rant about the things you like and hate in porn at this moment, with that said here is whats on the monkeys mind at the moment.
I am in the mood to write something interesting, compelling and thought provoking (to the best of monkey's feeble abilities anyway) yet when i look at all the recent news in porn at the moment nothing allows me to do that. I believe a lot of porn gossip sites have grown soft and there is two distinct reasons for it. 1) People writing for them have mixed business with pleasure, they don't want to post the dirt because they don't want to offend performers and directors that they think they are friends with and 2) the people they have the dirt on are also advertisers on their site can;t offend the people paying you, so we end up with a censored media in a industry with something going on always. Frustrating.
I think all lesbian porn should be phased out by 2006. It started as a scene filler in porn, then went out to have its own all girl features then its own line and now you have girls that ONLY do girls, a line needs to be drawn. Lesbian porn serves no purpose and most girl only performers do it because they have a boyfriend who doesn't like her to fuck other guys, so if thats the case then only fuck your boyfriend on film like charlie, sure its not great to see the same guy with the girl all the time but its lightyears better then seeing an all girl dyke fest with some of the most attractive girls in the biz (ashton moore,etc). If i could change one thing in porn it would be that, theres nothing even close to coming second in comparison, there is no use for it, i have said this before, if you are going to jump into the porn pool then you can't live in the shallow end, you have to take dick at some stage. Right janine, she knows what im talking about.
Jesse jane. Now i thought in order do BE a porn star you have to actually DO porn. I have seen jesse jane get all this exposure in france, main stream mags,etc for being a porn star, and she is hot in a plastic kind of way but hasn't she made like 6 movies with half of those being all girl, hasn't done anal, hasn't take any facials (at least real ones, thanks virtual), yet she is getting more pub of any current porn star in main stream media today. There is something wrong with that.
Has porn peaked?. Im almost afriad to pose this question, but has porn peaked?, there is only so many things you cn do with a limited number of holes, it seems like everything has been done to death, there are no stars anymore due to the fast turn over of performers so has porn peaked, you can only progress or regress, nothing stays the same. Hiv stuff sure didn't help, sometimes it feels like everything in porn just goes with the flow, whether it be the gossip sites, performers lifeless performances, fans getting bored with the same stuff maybe it has something to do with the taboo factor no longer being there with porn, sex has never been more acceptable in the mainstream media then it has now , when it comes to music, tv, movies and pop culture in general, so something that was supposed to be naughty no longer is. Like alcohol, when your not old enough to drink it, you try and drink as much of it as you can because its wrong, when you become legal the novelty wears off, maybe the same applies here.

Negative dude. There's nothing better for us guys than for porn to be mainstream. It makes the common everyday grocery store clerk chick a lot sluttier and knowledgeable about pleasuring a man and who doesn't want that? The coolest thing about porn nowadays is that its not just the same chicks rehashed every fucking movie. Its not so bad socially to star in a porn anymore, so we see hotter girls than ever before doing dirty, dirty things.

My two cents, it ain't even that.... Since when did beating the crap out of women come into style (think Meatholes). Why does every director/producer have to out pervert each other? Why can't they just make good quality fucking with quality production? Have you guys ever heard of lighting?

I agree most of those sites are little more than advertisements anyway. The last decent post on Fayner's site was about TR getting slammed by somebody else and Scott had to sit through it. But I wouldn't mind dumping a load on TR's grill.

I don't think quality porn will peak. I do think some problems are a lack of originality, for example the bangbus website got started, then somebody created backseatbangers, same damn thing!!! If somebody already has the idea, then find another. At least try to be creative about how/where the girls are going to get screwed. I also don't like some of the boob jobs out there, Jesse Jane is an example, her frame is too small for her boobs. Ladies if you are going to get some work done under the hood make it look right! Thats just my completely uninformed opinion.

I don't think it's that sinister. When Luke started his site, it was the only game in town. Worse (for the industry), he didn't really have an interest to protect, though he eventually made friends and protected some of them.
Luke would clearly like to get as far as fucking away from pornography as he could, and his multitude of comebacks are driven by the fact that he can't make money blogging about his idiot LA friends and their cocktail parties. If someone gives him a slight opening in the straight world, he'll never let his shadow darken this fetid alleyway again. Or until he runs out of money, at least.
Anyway, compared to Luke in the olden days, what are these other fucks doing? They're de facto promoting something, whether Gene Ross (Xtreme in the old days, KSEX now) or Hipster Doofus at hardcoregossip (Metro), or Luke at adultbeat or SetGo.
In porn, that's probably how it'll have to be. I wouldn't pay for it, doubtful very many readers would. I suspect that half of the current slew of sites won't be here in a year's time as they get more and more boring. (Hey Scott, how about an update on the other turtle?)

Good point, but there should be at least one guy that can tell it how it is without needing the scratch most other gossipers need. It still doesn't make it any les frustrating regardless.

personally, i think porn has peaked. i cant speak for everyone (and I admit, Im pretty jaded) but when I go to the local porn shop these days, its all the same stuff by different companies: internal cumshots, no cum swallowing, no cum dodging, every company is the same. Same shit, different pile. .. on and on. everything looks the same, has the same actresses and has boring scene after boring scene. I end up renting something knowing it will suck.
