I was reading on IAFD that they have catalogued more that 39K sex workers in their data base. I estimate 98% of these are performers and the rest are directors, etc. Also, Undoubtedly, not all these are active performers, figure less than 20% are actively plying their trade. Yet, this number does not account for the myriad of web cam, internet based, amateur, solo acts and the always popular 1 hit wonders. So for you people in the industry what is a ballpark figure? How many people do you guesstimate are currently performing in the US sex industry?
