Porn Valley-A saddened Craig Valentine opens a file and shows me some of its documents to prove that what he’s about to say is true.

There are clinic admittance records and e-mails. Taking them at face value, it would appear to be that Valentine’s ex, Summer Haze has hit bottom. Or, if not, at least residing in the house next to it.

Valentine says he’s been a little emotional but has been speaking to enough people on the topic to have a more controlled grasp of the situation. In a real Valley of the Dolls scenario, Haze has been on pain killers for a long time, according to Valentine.

“I tried to rehearse what I was going to say,” Valentine mutters.

Valentine had been married to Haze for six years and with her for 12. They met in 1995, got married in 2003. During that time, Valentine estimates that Haze during their marriage consumed maybe close to $400,000 worth of pain killers.

“I’ve been living a six year lie and it’s time that everybody knew,” says Valentine who doesn’t intend to rehash any of this once the story’s out.

To hear Valentine tell it, his relationship with Haze has been conducted pretty much from the inside of hospital emergency rooms, clinics and pill bottles. Valentine says at least 25 hours a week were devoted to these dramas.

“I was always taking her to them [pain clinics] but was never allowed to go in with her,” he says.

“It became a more frequent occurrence. Basically she was always complaining about being in pain. I made arrangements for her to get pain killers. No one wants to see their wife/loved one in pain.”

According to Valentine, the situation grew worse and worse and a friend in the business finally suggested to Valentine the obvious, that maybe his wife was addicted to drugs.

“I couldn’t see that,” says Valentine. “I’ve never done drugs and will never do them. I don’t even smoke; maybe I’ll have an apple martini now and then.”

Valentine saw more of it when Haze would go on on tour. It was when people told him that his wife was asking for pain killers, that it finally dawned on him.

“I said she doesn’t do drugs. I couldn’t see this.”

Finally, says Valentine, Haze ‘fessed up and told him she had been on painkillers 20 years and had been hooked on them.

“As she went more on the road and the schedule got more tasking on her, the pain killer usage went up,” says Valentine. “She started going to these pain clinics. We have them in Florida. You go in with an MRI or X-ray and the doctor will issue you pain killers. She found she could go to two or three of them.”

Haze’s painkiller count was anywhere from 900 to 1200 pills a month, states Valentine. That he knew about.

“I blame myself,” says Valentine who himself has gone to counseling and therapy because of this.

“I facilitated the means and didn’t do anything to stop it. Not that I knew how.”

Valentine says it kept getting worse and worse where Haze would come up with all kinds of excuses to find more pills.

“She said she ran out or they fell down the toilet," states Valentine. "I see my money disappearing. I see my credit cards being charged on the Internet for pills. I see stuff missing out of the house. I see money missing. This went on for a couple of years.”

As Valentine got more paranoid, he and Haze would fight more and more over her drug usage.

“If I kept pills from her or hid them, she’d get nasty,” he relates. “She found hiding places including my mother’s house where I was locking them in a safe.”

Subsequently Haze would shmooze Valentine’s mother, not that they got along well to begin with, to get into the safe.

“It was getting bad,” says Valentine. “She was doing things to people and drugs make you do that. I had no knowledge of any of this.”

Finally a couple of years ago, Valentine told Haze, who was on about 40 pills a day at this point, that he had had enough. She apparently flipped out and began crying hysterically. The only recourse at this point was Rehabs which would treat her, but only for tens of thousands of dollars.

“To get somebody healthy it costs money,” shrugs Valentine who took Haze to one hospital where she began freaking out.

“They were going to lock her up for 14 days and she didn’t want to go through the pain of withdrawal,” continues Valentine. “I caved in as a loving husband and let her leave. And then she started going through menopause. That mixed with being a drug addict, that’s depression that doesn’t work well.”

One doctor prescribed Paxil CR for Haze. After 28 days, Valentine says Haze woke up the next and was a completely different person.

“It was a person I didn’t recognize,” he states. “She started cooking breakfast and cleaning the house. It was amazing. I didn’t recognize her. She was, like, happy for the first time in my life, the first time I had ever seen her that way.”

Haze then read some journals she had kept during her pill popping phases then promptly locked herself in a closet and cried for three days.

“She didn’t believe the amount of drugs she was on, the things she did and did to me,” Valentine says. “On her own she began declining from 30 pills a day and got down to 15.”

Haze then went to another rehab facility and was given a treatment drug, a blocking agent that was supposed to get you off narcotics.

“It’s supposed to be a three month treatment and she got addicted to that,” comments Valentine. “She was on that for 2 ½ years.”

On top of that, says Valentine, Haze also got addicted to Valium and was averaging 30 to 60 of those a week. During this time, Valentine and Haze were shooting for Club Summer Haze but a lot of the money was going towards pills instead.

“That year she spent about $83,000 in narcotics.”

With the subsequent mood swings, Valentine had to sell their house and pay bills Haze had run up. Valentine began watching Haze like a hawk and she gave him the name Warden.

“But if I let her out of my sight, she’d get drugs,” explains Valentine. “And I’d be finding this out from club owners and girls.”

Not helping matters, says Valentine, is that people in the industry would help Haze find pills whenever they came to Los Angeles.

By the time they got into the wrestling business, Valentine thought things had calmed down.

“She was scared that she didn’t have her pills but it was a shot in the arm for her,” Valentine continues.

But, at the same time, wrestlers had access to drugs and Haze learned how to connect through those channels. It got a lot worse, leading to Valentine and Haze’s subsequent divorce which was announced to the adult press.

In October, Valentine himself got seriously injured in the ring, suffered kidney damage and began pissing blood. At the time, he learned from some wrestlers that his wife had been asking for Percocets. By December 8, Haze left the house as well as her cat and clothes.

“She just got up and left- disappeared,” recalls Valentine. According to Valentine, Haze has a mother and daughter who passed away but says the story about her sister dying in a car crash was bogus.

“She said that was the reason why she left but I later found out that wasn’t true,” notes Valentine. “That was an escape she used to get out. A lot of our relationship was a lie. I don’t know what was true or not true. Did she love me? I assume so. She told me people had done things to her.”

Valentine also later found out that Haze was apparently e-mailing people pretending to be him.

“I found that out monitoring my computer. Someone would log on to my machine, impersonating me.”

Haze then told Valentine later in December that she had no intention of coming back to him.

“That’s why she wasn’t at AVN," says Valentine.

I had heard that Haze was having affairs with a couple of wrestlers and asked Valentine about that.

“From what she has told people, she was screwing around with several of the wrestlers,” Valentine answers, noting that Haze e-mailed him saying she had to do what she had to do for money- which sounds like hooking. Beyond that, Valentine says he has no more information.

Apparently Haze is conducting her own form of smear campaign against Valentine.

“She’s accusing me of using steroids,” says Valentine. “This is true. I have used them. I used them when I was 20 years old and did a lot of damage to the lower part of my body which took me out of the porn business. That’s why I couldn’t drop a load for five or six years. I had to have repairs done. Hence, why I know I can’t get anybody pregnant.”

Valentine also admits he began using steroids again about six months ago.

“I have no issues denying them.”

The thing that really disturbs Valentine, however, is the fact that Haze is telling people he’s hit her and beat her to where she couldn’t make wrestling practice.

“I have never under any circumstances laid a hand on my wife,” Valentine declares. “Or any other woman. I don’t even allow spanking on my sets.”

Valentine says he won’t even allow other male performers on his sets to get overzealous or frisky.

“I am the most non-violent person,” he insists. “I used to be a bad person awhile back, but when I learned I had a lot to lose- about 1997- I stopped. But I have never been disrespectful or violent towards a woman.”

After a three month absence, Valentine said Haze showed up Sunday of last week. Piror to, she sent him e-mails that she was broke.

“Then I got calls from people threatening to kill me for things I did to my wife,” says Valentine. “I’m trying to figure out what’s going on.”

At a recent wrestling event, Valentine saw Haze.

“It broke my heart,” he says. “She was higher than a kite. Higher than I’ve ever seen a girl in the porn business. She was annihilated, pasty white. Her teeth were in porn condition. All she’s been doing for the past year and a half is throwing up constantly. That’s how torn up her stomach is from the painkillers and bouts of withdrawal. It just broke my heart.”

Thinking he could talk some sense into her, Valentine told Haze she needs help.

“She told me I was a psycho, that I’m a loser, I should kill myself. I freaked out.”

Valentine went home. About six in the morning he got a call from Haze pouring more abuse on him.

Fed up, Valentine, with a burning ulcer of his own from all the nonsense, went to a hospital psych ward and asked to be admitted because he was nuts from listening to all this.

“The psychiatrists evaluated me. I told them what had been going on. They made me piss into a cup and stabbed a needle in my arm for blood.”

Valentine was told he tested negative for drugs.

“I never said I was a drug addict,” Valentine told them. “After that they fed me and had me piss in a cup again. All three therapists told me I wasn’t crazy but had been abused severely by a drug addict. They explain that all drug addicts do is lie- to get their pills and blame other people. That’s what I had dealt with.”

According to Valentine, Steve Seidman has witnessed instances of Haze calling him spitting venom. Valentine then got into a screaming match with Haze over her stories about him hitting her. To which Haze claimed she never said any of those things, and that it was Valentine who needed help.

Valentine says there’s a law in Florida, that he could go to a judge and have an order placed on Haze to put her in rehab.

“That’s what I filed- along with a restraining order. She’s a danger to herself and others because she’s lying to people to get them mad to have them come after me. This is a drug addict looking for pills.”

Valentine says Haze has no money, so he doesn’t know where she’s getting it to fund the habit.

“We had a lot of money.”

According to Valentine, Haze has left a trail of hospital bills from Maryland to Philly to Boston to New York.

“Every five days she’s in a new hospital getting pain killers claiming that her back hurts or that her cervix hurts."

Valentine also talks about how he got a call last week from a famous wrestler who told him that his father, coincidentally, had been in the same hospital as Haze and saw her.

“She was calling herself London- she was fighting with an ER tech,” says Valentine.

The father got into a conversation with Haze who said she knew his son. The wrestler then called Valentine, not knowing that this same ‘London’ was Haze and suggested that Valentine use this girl in a wrestling show.

"I asked her about it,” says Valentine. “She said that wasn’t me!”

Later, according to Valentine, Haze admitted in an e-mail it was her but claims that the hospital had forced her to take pain killers.

Viz, no no no no...Vicodens are garbage and so are OC's, shoot em, snort em, eat em, they still stuck, I had a bottle of 120 80's and sold them for 80.00 each, I made a fucking killing. I cant believe people pay 1.00 per milligram, stupid fuckin hillbillies. None of those pills do or did I ever take. Xanax and Valium are the only pills for moi.
