I have a Mac that is just a editing workhorse nothing on it but FCP and related programs. I have my main computer wich is a plain old ibm
windows xp 2002
amd athlon XP 1600+
1.41 GHz 640MB of Ram
and I have a laptop that I use at home when Im capturing or exporting on both puters
laptop is super charged, makes my desktop look like its in Kindergarden. Poo picked it out for me.

I mentioned in the other thread, before I saw this one, that you should get a KVM switch. It will allow you to toggle between up to four different CPU's using the same monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
I find mine indispensable.

Don't buy a cheap one. It's really frustrating when you have to reboot periodically to get the mouse working again.
I've got you beat by one computer. But it's all old equipment, so if you add up the clock speeds, you have me beat.
