A few people in this industry lately have been claiming that people who wind up in porn do so because they try to make it in mainstream, but can not, So they "settle" for porn. The following is what I posted on my own site and what I plan to post on other boards cause I feel it makes for good reading. And no, it's not a poem <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

Do People Get Into Porn Because They Fail At Getting Into Mainstream?

HELL NO!

To say that porn is an industry that people resort to if they can't make it in mainstream is a ridiculous ASSumption to make.

People get into porn for many reasons.

The first and perhaps most obvious reason is guys think they can get laid easily and fuck hot looking women, so they enter the porn industry.

The second reason is, girls get into it because it pays great money. They may not even have any intention of becoming a star in Hollywood. They just know it's easy fast good cash. The ends justify the means so to speak.

The third reason is, there are people that, believe it or not, just love to fuck. So getting into the porn world just seems natural and the right path to take for them.

I mean, come on now, if someone is hell bent on making it in mainstream, why would they even go into porn??? They would just keep on trying to make it in mainstream.

I mean, do you think Arnold Schwarzeneggar was thinking one day "Gee, if this action movie thing don't work out and I can't become a huge rich international megastar, I want to go into porno so perverts can be entertained by my amazing muscular body for $500 a movie"?

Do you think Geraldo Rivera said "You know, if this broadcast journalism thing don't work out, I want to shove my latino cock up girls asses for a living"?

Do you think Martha Stewart was thinking "You know, if they don't allow me to design kitchen drapes on television, I think I will go into porn where guys can jizz on my drapes"?

Because when it comes down to it people, anyone who has any aspirations of getting into mainstream, does not want to be associated with porn at all. They do not want any part of it. I mean, why do you have so many mainstream celebs refuse to go on Howard Stern??? They hate what he does. They hate what his show represents. And those celebs will never wind up in porn, even if it was their only option.

Simply put, no one resorts to porn if they truly want to make it in mainstream! It is out of the question for them.

As it relates to me, as a dirty poet, yes, granted, I do want to be known in the mainstream world. But I wouldn't say I resorted to porn because I couldn't "make it" in mainstream. It just so happened that of the many places and industries I emailed my poems to, the porn community welcomed me with open arms.

I don't feel like I 'failed" at all. I am getting more well known and popular as each day passes by. And I am very happy too. And happiness, to me, is what matters most in life.

It all boils down to destiny. I truly believe that we all have a destiny.

The fact of the matter is, while certain people seem to put down the porn industry for not being monitored enough or regulated enough, or what have you, it in actuality, remains the only forum that supports free speech and expression, the way that our founding fathers envisioned The United States Of America to do so from the very beginning.

But the fact of the matter is, we really do not live in a free country. We have our censors. I ask you, why have censorship in what claims to be, a free democratic society???

You see, no one who's in porn, is in it cause they have failed getting into mainstream. They are in porn because they want to be in it. They love the fact that porn is allowing them to have a satisfying career doing what they love. Whether it be fucking, directing, or writing.

Porn succeeded where mainstream failed. Because porn allowed these people to express themselves in the way our democracy was intended to allow such expression. Mainstream, did not.

So to those people who are working in the porn industry and feel that this is what they had to "settle" for, I say get the fuck out then. Cause if you don't like the freedom and fun you get being in this industry expressing what you love to do, let some other individual who does, be in it.

Go join the mainstream world and see how far you can go with expressing yourself freely, in a not so free society run by censors.

I think the difference between girls like Angelina Jolee and porn whores is that the mainstream whores have more patience. You see, they are willing to take the time to suck all the right dicks until they get where they want.

i think part of this 'mainstream vs jizzstream' sort of debate is based upon god given talent. i've seen porno movies where people attempt to act, and it becomes clear in mere moments that these women arent meant to be famous actors of the stage and screen, giving riviting performances that draw tears from audiences, rather, their natural talent lies in the unsettling ability to move in 4 directions at once, this undulation used to squeeze cum out of as many simultaneous dudes as california law allows. and this isnt to say that one skill is better than the other, this isnt qualitative, just observation.

Other than Madonna I think that anyone in the mainstream industry would never step foot on set for a porno production due to the fact that they praise themselves a little higher in importance, as a person, morals, and for the sake of their fans as well as the media.

It wouldn't surprise me if, for instance, Sunrise Adams auditioned for several film roles before deciding to try out hardcore.
