FINDINGS:
MRI PELVIS:
Rectum: Redemonstration of irregular peripherally enhancing spiculated soft tissue nodularity arising at the level of the left eccentric rectal stump suture line measuring 3.3 x 2.3 x 3.7 cm in axial in plane and craniocaudal dimension (series 3 image 26, series 6 image 7). The abnormal soft tissue directly involves the adjacent left mid to distal seminal vesicle which demonstrates abnormal T2 hypointense signal and enhancement (series 3 image 24)a, as seen on CT 1/23/2017. The right seminal vesicle signal remains within normal limits. The abnormal soft tissue extends to the presacral space contacting the anterior cortex of S1 vertebral body without adjacent marrow signal change identified. The remainder of the anorectal soft tissues demonstrate normal architecture with submucosal fat deposition, likely reflective of postradiation changes.

Biopsy confirms this new tumor is malignant. I see radiation tomorrow and the surgeon Wednesday to see what they can do.
