As of today, I only own two DVDS which I am keeping simply because they are classics. I have not purchased a DVD in over one and a half years. Porn is basically a very very small budget production with limited sales, the profit is concentrated in the marginal sales unless you are selling cable rights like Vivid. Just a small number of lost sales erases the profit margin. The government hates the porn industry so they are not going to track porn downloads. In addition a small porn dvd has a de minimus cost of production when compared with a major studio release. It simply does not make economic sense to sue. Porn is in for some hard times. Lots of producers are going to go belly up. They ignored the problem until it is now too late, nothing like whistling past the graveyard.

Porn folks can wait for Hollywood to set the precedents, then piggyback them. And, as someone whose name I should remember, posted earlier in this thread, there are many many people who just want to walk in their closest adult store and plunk down greenbacks- no fuss, no muss, no trail. The starving college student shit only goes so far then, like taxes, people need to pay to play. The harder people have to work in their own lives the less they begrudge others their living. I ain't kissin anyones ass here but this shit is so obviously wrong.
