I sustained a great relationship for 4 and a half years while doing hardcore porn. My reason for leaving had nothing to do with porn. In fact I left while I was going to med school simply because I didn't see him being the one I could picture my life with even a few years down the road. The end of our relationship turned into a friendship and very functional room mates. He was first generation American from a French Father and German Mother. Because I have yet to meet someone who isn't that way who jumps to ignorant conclusions, racial assumptions and irrational ideas of what they think life is like for a porn star during and after her career.

I'll use myself as the person to be compared to. I don't consider myself "hot" I'm more-so cute. Maybe pretty on some days but never gorgeous unless sexy make-up and wardrobe can make me that way.

In my opinion, Lisa Ann is some of the few women in the adult industry that seems to have her head screwed on wonderfully. I admire that. That adds to attractive points. She wouldn't fall in the "cute" category as far as physical beauty in my opinion. Maybe hot. She has a great body. In fairness you also have a larger pool of "damaged people" outside the industry who would be just as willing. And, classify them how you like, but there is without a doubt a contingent of men who find the thought that she has been with 200 or better 2000 guys a huge turn on. I realize that "turn on" and "want to marry" are not the same thing, but men do think with their dicks, and it translates for some.

I agree with Gen. Although I think Gen is in the minority as far as post porn experience. Because she is a very intelligent, level-headed girl and because she has such a strong sense of who she is. She has never hidden from her porn past. She approached it sensibly from get-go as something for fun and to explore her personality--and also as a business. I think the people that have the best careers in porn (before and after) have these characteristics. They make the choice of doing porn--and never regret it or feel sorry for themselves. They are open and honest to those around them. If those people have a problem with their choices--they simply remove them from their lives and move on. I think you have to. Once you accept and admit anything you have done and decide to 'own' it, it destroys peoples power to hurt you. Then they tend to just go away.
