Running (or having someone run for her) her own internet membership website would seem to be the obvious cash cow, but for the longest time she didn't have one.
Searching Google for "Gianna Michaels", http://xxxgianna.com shows up as result number 6, and i'm not even sure that's her own official website. There's nothing personalized about it -- no blog, twitter, or anything tying it directly to her as a personality. The biography on there is so sparse and lacking details that it looks like it was sourced from a Rog Reviews interview or something.
Not to mention, the site looks to have been made by someone from France :
After hearing about so many whores getting ripped off by sleazy webmasters, maybe it is better that she didn't go whole hog online any sooner than she did (if at all).

Either spelling is acceptable, junkie or junky. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/junkyI do agree Gianna should have expanded her "will do" list sooner. I do not agree having their own website is the answer to most porn stars' problems. Only the very top tier will even have a chance of building a loyal subscription base and the need for constant content updates gets to be a drag (and problem) real quick. Most of these sites do down in flames after a relatively short period of time.

This was exactly what I was saying -- that site was done up to look official, but doesn't have the touches that tend to make a site look 100% legit.
My point was that she seems to have no official, personal presence on the internet. According to IAFD, she's been in the business since 2004, and yet still doesn't have her own site? Talk about loss of revenue / short sightedness, especially for someone like her.
I would disagree with Snowman about content and updates, when it comes to this girl. If she's been shooting for six years, she should potentially have tons of content racked up or available from content trades that she could use on a subscription site. With that body of work, the pressure wouldn't be on to deliver "8 updates a week" or whatever insane quantity of mixed results that BangBros or Brazzers promise these days. Some girls out there just do a couple of updates a month, charge somewhere in the middle, and the fans are content.
There's value in her offering access to fans, exclusive chats / cams, bts, meet and greets, private blogs, etc, where she could get by with a lot less direct facetime, some of which could be done when she has free time or wherever she happens to be, or be backlogged up or booked in spurts for subsequent release over time.
Either way, to me, there's no reason she should be scrambling. Maybe the e-presence-direct-to-whore-management-business would be like trying to herd cats, but there would probably be a goldmine in residual income for the webmasters that were able to pull it off.

Her refusal to do certain acts probably increased her appeal to some people. When she lost that distinction, she was very clearly nothing special.
I never found her appealing regardless. Riley Mason > Gianna any day.
