Through Lend Lease, we provided them with tanks, planes, ships, ammo, gas etc etc. They would have loved it if we had stayed neutral and let them do with you as they please. And you're forgetting about the more recent Soviet menace. If not for America, you'd be speaking Russian and standing in bread lines. Down the road, you will likely beg us (again) to free you Islamofacists and sharia law. Towelheads are slowly taking over Europe.

Obama's speech last night about the importance of passing his healthcare bill right away must have been a homerun. Speaking in broad generalities and offering silly anecdotes must have really done the trick. Today they announced the senate won't vote on healthcare until the fall.

He's a "black studies" prof (lol) at Harvard. He probably popped a boner when he saw a cop in his home and realized what a great opportunity he had to play the victim. I read the police report. The cop did noting wrong. If the prof had calmly explained who he was and offerd an ID, there would have been no problem. He thought he shouldn't have to do even that much because he is "black in America". Guess what? When us whities interact with the popo, we are also are expected to behave rationally and offer a certain level of cooperation (as the situation and common sense would dictate).
It was totally unpresidential for Obama to weigh in on something like this at all. The fact that he took the bait and put his foot in his mouth is more proof that he's incompetent.

Here's the difference. It's true that Gates was probably irate -- maybe even getting on the cops' nerves. But eventually he DID show his ID and the cop verified it. AFter that it should have been the end of the story. If he was WHITE, it WOULD have been the end of the story.
But nooo. Because Gates pissed the cop off, he decided he would arrest him for disorderly conduct. In his mind he's saying, "I'll show this uppity n-gger. Put him in his place".
If he were not black, the cops would walk away pissed off, but they would walk away. It is not a crime to get on the nerves of a police officer. They are trained to put up with Bullshit and keep a cool head.

No, the difference is a regular white guy would have shown the cop his ID first, not start acting like an asshole. By your standard, a regular black guy should have done the same, instead this guy acted like an asshole and get what was coming to him.

Not true. You and most blacks like to think this way because it's ingrained in your dysfunctional victim mentality culture. My point was that he SHOULD have said no comment- I do not have all the facts, the way it happened did make Obama seem unprofessional by chiming in with that type of comment. As far as the race issue itself goes- H2c had it right- cops can be hard on people that fit certain types whether it be minorities or some of my long hair or bald friends- so why not just play nice with them. Say hi officer what is the problem, thanks officer I will produce the id as soon as I can get it. Playing nice with them can keep you from getting a ticket sometimes much less catching a beating or getting arrested. Unless insane cops do not just pull up to a person of color and start beating them- play nice and see if you can get a better result.

I grew up in the country and black people were very much NOT plentiful, and there..I saw more than my share of WHITE idiots who couldn't keep their mouths shut or be polite to the cops get roughly handled. This isn't about him being black, it's about him acting entitled and not just going along. The cops had a call about a possible burglary in progress..they responded, and when they arrived the possible burglar acted like an asshole. When you act like an asshole in front of the cops, you usually get treated like an asshole.
As far as what The Great Messiah had to say about it all, I agree with you. He should have just declined to comment, indicating it was still under investigation. And, as we all know Odumba is outstanding at avoiding answering questions about subjects he doesn't want to discuss. This was just one more bit of evidence that he is completely unsuited to being the Prez.
The biggest laugh about the whole thing is it happend within sight of Harvard, one of the most sickeningly PC sections of the country. You don't think that the cops they have patrolling that area aren't PC trained to the max?? You can bet they are.

The "Beer Summit" is all over now. All the racial problems of society have been healed, and of course we know now the answer to the most important question of all. What beer would Odumba drink? It would be good to know how much money was wasted just on the polling & focus groups that the handlers of The Great Messiah spent on determining just what the right beer would be for The Messiah to consume. Never mind all the money wasted to bring the whiney professor and the cop who did his job to DC for their little sit down. In yet another astounding Odumba "Fail" The Cash For Clunkers" program has hit the skids and is being terminated by The Great Messiah. In it's short run the program itself has been amazingly successful. However, the plan overseers in the Odumba administration have so totally and completely fucked up this program that so far, not a single auto dealer has been able to get any of their deals through the The Great Messiah's red tape, and the system is collapsing under it's own weight, says The Detroit Free Press. The Freep goes on to report that many of the car buyers may actually get stuck paying an extra $4,500 they were expecting to get from Odummy. So, if Odumba cannot handle a simple car deal, how in the hell is he going to handle OdumbaCare?? He's not. You don't need to look any further than this to see what a total disaster The Great Messiah's Health Care program will turn out to be. Maybe he better call all the auto dealers & the buyers who are going to get screwed to come to DC for a visit and give them all a Bud Light.

How the fuck was that program successful? The government took a billion from the taxpayers and redistributed it to a group of lucky bastards who happened to own old clunkers so they can buy new cars. There was absolutely no wealth created in the process, no new infrastructure...nothing. Just a possibility of minor positive effect on environment. For a fucking billion!

I would agree with you..but it was successful in the fact that they sold about $250,000 new cars. Outside of that, I agree with everything you said. The government..and the Odummy government in particular is top shelf in stealing tax money from working people and giving it to the lazy. In this case it might have actually benefitted a few people who actually pay taxes. But on the whole, I agree with you.
