But it shouldn't be. Name any other part of the entertainment industry that owns a person's name? A music label might own the rights to the songs or a music manager owning the name of the group/band. But I've never heard of any part of the entertainment industry owning someone's name except for porn. What if it's their birth name? DP would then own the rights to their birth name?? The group Menudo is still around because possibly the manager owns that name. But no one ever owned the name Ricky Martin except Ricky Martin.
