Porn Valley- Last September I wrote a piece about LAPD planting circulars in the Valley, encouraging homeowners to snitch out porn shoots in their neighborhoods. Some people were going, ah, there goes Gene inventing stuff again.
Guess what? LAPD is dead serious, and a homeowner in Northridge hosting a shoot discovered that Friday afternoon as police without a search warrant hopped a gate attempting to enter the house. The homeowner then called attorney Michael Fattorosi,
www.adultbizlaw.com who showed to talk to the police. According to Fattorosi, there were three black and whites parked outside of the house when he arrived.
From what he learned in the conversation, Fattorosi says the police along with LA city council and the Mayor's office are combining task forces to bust improperly permitted porn shoots. The investigations began last September when I first reported them but tailed off because some of the officers had rotated out of the Vice unit.
But now with renewed vigor and manpower, the visits are picking up again with Vice working with this newly combined manpower source. The goal is to shut down porn houses which have been non-compliant. Hence, the owner in Northridge, whose usual attorney is Jeffrey Douglas, was cited without a permit. Fattorosi lent a hand because Douglas hadn't been available.
Fattorosi described the police as being very respectful during this call, although it's been known for them in the past to harass occupants of the house and perform ID checks. From the sounds of it, it didn't happen this time around. But the police are making porn shoots their regular stop from now on.
