Shelley Lubben Posts on her MySpace page: The world's largest gathering of porn stars is coming up in January, 2008 and I need your help! There will also be about 250,000 porn fans who will be attending as well.

God is opening huge doors for me into the porn industry and has also sent me TWO OTHER EX PORN STARS who will be with me reaching out to porn stars. In fact, one of the women was at AVN Convention last year as a porn star and this year God got a hold of her and now she's willing to go back in order to reach out to others. What an awesome team we will make! My husband Garrett will also be joining us along with several other team members.

We need your prayers and help though. PLEASE commit to praying daily through January 13 that God would pour out His power on us as we reach out and touch the porn stars with His love. Please pray that the Lord will pour His Spirit out on us so that we walk in power just like Jesus did. We want to pray for porn stars and see the Lord heal sexually transmitted diseases, mental illness, drug addiction, pray for their family members, etc.. we want to see lives touched in a powerful way while we are there!

We also really need help with expenses. This outreach will cost me about $2500 so I need your help to do it. Below is a list of needs we need help with:

*Help to pay for entrance into the porn convention for four of us and help with hotel expenses for two days.
*Small beauty supplies like nail polish, bracelets, etc... to put into 300-500 bags
*Cards and notes to encourage them
*Small bibles and booklets about sexual abuse, child abuse, renewing their minds, etc...

The American Bible Society donated 100 Bibles to me so I will put those in the bag as well. I wish I had 400 more small Bibles. If you can donate that, that'd be awesome!

I think its OK having people handing out bibles and providing support etc. If God exists he would be there for you and wouldn't care if you worked in porn or not. However there does seem to be a number of shady exploitative characters involved and suicides and people estranged from families. So it might be helpful to some people. On the other hand religious groups can often be worse!
