I've heard that AIM does a history when a performer tests positive for HIV, checking exactly who that performer has fucked since at least their last test.

But can anyone tell me if the do a history when someone tests positive for, say HPV or Chlamydia? And, if they don't, why the hell not? Seems like a common sense policy to me.

(Yeah, yeah, I know. Common sense in the industry...)

Because people freak about HIV.

If HIV didn't exist, neither would AIM since I doubt they would have/require the certification test for any STDs.

AIM doesn't test for HPV to my knowledge. I believe the HPV test in women is done with a pap smear (or a friend who joined the Peace Corps told me a horror story that they actually snipped a piece of her cervix out to test for it and other STDs) and I don't think AIM does anything (probably not legally able to?) besides draw blood and have you piss in a cup.

Just double checked this on wikipedia about male infection which I had heard before:

They do test for it but I think its one of those things where its just easier to treat it rather than prevent it and shoot a positive infection up with antibiotics. I've never heard of AIM doing a history for someone testing positive as its just probably easier to have the infected talent sit out until they're better.

Authentic tests for various STDs are fine and to be encouraged, but somewhere I read about one performer forging his or her test in front of another performer´s eyes.
It might have been in context of people like Shelley Lubben or someone else having dropped out of the industry, which makes it suspicious of overly taking sides.

Very vague indeed; although, if someone, for any reason, wants to perform and has an STD, a fake test can potentially be the means to earn a considerable amount of money.
