Lots of unanswered questions here. Here is some info on the cemetery where she was purportedly buried. Union Cemetery - Brentwood, CAWhy would she be interred here? Why not in the Los Angeles or San Diego area where most of her life was spent? Brentwood (NOT 90049, the affluent section of Los Angeles) where this cemetery is located is in the East Bay area of Contra Costa County. Is that perhaps the home of her alleged father? I have seen nothing to indicate that she had friends, family or other connections there. Search results on findagrave.com list 1224 individuals buried at Union Cemetery but none with a last name of Haley. So that just leads to additional questions.

You're right about the delay. For an alleged death this recent, one usually needs to show up at the records offfice in person, or wait forever for a mailed record IF you can provide the proper credentials. I already checked the Social Security Death Index, but it's way too early for that. Since I'm in New York, I'll have to re-group on Monday and try to get the certs. somehow--if no one else can before then.

Exactly. The father SEEMED to be based in Oregon. Who knows now.

Unfortunately, they probably won't update those listings for months. I have a lot of genealogical experience, so I'm used to the cemetery/records stuff.

Yes, I get what he means. Just saying they'll eventually be updated, just not soon. So if she is in fact alone, she'll be listed in a while. Hell, given what sounds like happened to her over the years, I wouldn't be surprised if she were buried alone.

I've ckecked three different versions of SSDI (different companies update at different intervals.) Closest was a "Miriam" Haley in Colorado. Too old to be her.
I've found nothing on Lexis. I suppose I could dig up some stuff on the Del Homo and Wanker cases, but I don't see how they would help the search. I think that would only confuse the issue.
Yeah, Charlie, PM me the address. I don't know what good it will do, but it can't hurt.

Karma, we have no real evidence she actually was a Bahai. As far as i know, that story only turned up after her alleged "death." Seems to me, given that Bahai is such an unusual religion for a half-mexician porn whore to be, that info would have come out sooner, either on her MySpace, or in a BTS or something. Unique information always will out.

Sure, there's an arguement for her wanting to be dead. But we've seen examples before of whores who have faked their deaths in order to get out of the life. Neither is unlikely. And I love a good mystery.

There's an old HardCoreGossip interview that someone posted to XPT HERE that I found through the Wiki Talk page. It seems that she was raised a Bahai, but as an adult considers them to be a "cult." Aparantly, she no longer considers herself to be a Bahai in the same manner as I no longer consider myself to be a Christian.
It also seems that all the bullshit on the Wiki talk page was less Internal Politics as usual as it was that two of the editors were Bahai and wanted no mention of the religion on her page.

Well, it doesn't happen very often. They usually die from an auto accident. The ones I can remember OD'ing did so long after leaving porn. That's not to say there aren't a lot vying to be the first in recent times...
On 8/17 Skronker @ ADT posted that the latest rumor he'd heard was that Chico had skipped out of the country and nobody knew where Haley was. A couple of days ago he said "They are said to be in Mexico, with someone else's rental car." Skronker isn't trying to be definite here, but I'd still bet his third-hand rumor is better than most of the other rumors we're hearing.
It's possible Haley quit porn and just left. It seems unlikely she'd go back to dad, perhaps not bothering to even tell him. Especially if she's helping Chico skip bail for whatever insane reason. If she wants out let her be, but we'll just have to see where this leads, if anywhere.
PS. A fake Wiki death notice and a nudge to Luke to make sure he saw it would be the Internet-era way of staging a fake death, if you didn't think too much about the possibilities of online public records...

JRV, I respect Skronk. He's one of the few people over there that has his head on his shoulders and the least likely to go running "Chicken Little" over the latest internet rumor...
...But I'm not buying it. For two reasons:
1) I have a hard time believing she'd help Wang in any way, let alone go on the lam with him; and
2) I just don't think Wang has the balls to run South of the Border. He's too afraid of his old man to risk them losing the bond, which I believe was half-a-mil. He's more afraid of his father than the boys in San Quentin.
BTW: Wang just posted here the other day, in his "Henry Black" disguise, giving some seriously incorrect information regarding Gregg Allen & Greg Alves. Maybe Tony can check the IP and see where it was from?

Charlie's right. This isn't just some mass moblem-ization here, and I doubt any of us are beating off to her purported corpse.
There are legitimate questions here: Is she dead, and, if so, how? Was it suicide? OD? Or did Wang bump her off? If she's alive, why did she fake her death? To get out of the life once and for all? To avoid having to testify? To keep Luke from outing her years down the road? Serious questins, indeed.
For my part, I, too, will not post any personal information I may find beyond whether or not she's dead. I may, however, share that info with the LA County District Attorney's Office, since they will probably need to file a material witness order at this point.

I intend to call the cemetery records office Monday. From experience, they tend to be VERY hesitant to give that info to the public. Much has changed in the past 10 years regarding this info, which used to be handed out freely, largely because of invasion-of-privacy laws stemming from the AIDS crisis.
