Did anyone attend this in LA the last few days and have any reviews of it? How was turnout (industry and non-industry), did people actually screen films that weren't just cuts from porn coming out soon, did the panels go alright?

Just wondering.

I spoke on the Femmeworks panel yesterday, and attended the party last night, but I did not check out any of the films being screened. It looked like a pretty good turnout, there were quite a few people there.

I actually had the honor of meeting Ms. Randall at the party last night. Vanessa as well as Holly, Belladonna, Tricia and Kylie were all on the same panel talking about what its like to be a female director.

Quite interesting and entertaining. I didnt see any of the other panels though. I would have like to attend Roy Karch's panel with Seka and Marilyn Chambers. Got to see some recent naked pics of Seka - she still looks good.

Party was cool. Much better turn out than the festival. I think this has a shot and it will grow in the next several years.

Hey if anyone at XBiz reads this --- STOP PUTTING YOUR EVENTS ON IN HOLLYWOOD. I dont know why they have such a hard-on for Hollywood Blvd - The Knitting Factory/The Roosevelt - but traffic sucks, parking sucks and its not easy to get to.

I have a feeling more would have attended the festival if it was easier access. Same goes for the February XBiz show.

Holly did a great job on the panel!

The party had a decent turnout.

The videos screened were mostly original erotic shorts. There were a couple of porn premieres, including one from Joanna Angel.

I think the Hollywood Forever Cemetery would be a cool spot for the erotica film fest. I was there not too long ago for some Ramones/cancer research fund-raiser, and it was quite a party. About a thousand people showed up, there’s free parking; they serve booze; and they use some white wall for a big movie screen. Ok, you most certainly COULD NOT pull your pud amongst all those dead people, but hey, it’s definitely a different environment.

Holly et all were Saturday, and I shot today (Sunday). The seminars and films had a packed audience, though I wasn't able to really sit and check them out due to shooting. gorgeous venue and great chance to see everyone outside the typical club or convention atmosphere.

Yes Seka did look amazing! She was super friendly and we talked about the upcoming TOYSKILL show which she just shot for with Justice Howard.

I wasn't able to go yesterday b/c I was working. I missed my own premiere of Skateboard Kink Freak, by Maria Beatty but today I did enjoy seeing old friends today: our lovely Gia, Violet Blue, Joe Gallant and crew, Nick Zed, Vena Virago, winkytiki, Eon Mckai

The movie I really wanted to see was the world premiere of LLIK YOUR IDOLS by Anjelique Bosio LLIK YOUR IDOLS, 1st 4 min I saw the trailer many months ago on YouTube and to actually see the full version blew me away!!

I had no idea this was taking place until I started harassing Holly Saturday Morning on the phone via text message and she basically, but politely, said "shhh burg, I am at XBIZ!" WHat did I miss? I would have liked to have gone to this, especially since I inadvertently wound up spending Saturday helping a wayward cubscout troop in Anaheim Hills plant some nearly dead trees/saplings in the yards of Old People, then tried planning trips to San Diego, Las Vegas and finally, Costa Mesa but not before being kicked out of a Holiday Inn by police (yes the POLICE) on supsicion of being drunk and disorderly...."Pfffft, wait, Officer, seriously, you mean you are merely <Dr Evil Quotations in the Air>"Suspicious?"<Dr Evil Quotations in the Air> The blank expression was all I needed...."well then you really suck,,,,"

So to make a Long story unbearable, How could I have known about XBIZ Erotica without actually going to the website? Also, would i have been out of place there (straightlaced, sexually straight, no-nonsense sexually, white crippled intellectual, no tatoos? Would I have been able to debate sexual Evolution as it pertains to directing with any of the panel members on Holly's Panel? Were frosty EANAB beverages available?) I partied and smoked my brains out in Burbank and Westwood before crashing in Costa Mesa at my mom's house to do my laundry late saturday night. I would have been happy to host your drunk ass if it meant I could give you a tour of my 'ol stompin' grounds.


Anyways...put a long story short I thought of going Saturday while up in town but thought the $25 tickets were a bit much if I had three friends tag along or could only make it a few hours. Glad to hear it wasn't as bad as I feared it might be, but I think I preferred the grams.
