Here in New York City, the cost of living is even higher. The people who work for me make significantly less than $10 K a month, yet manage to live well and to put aside for savings. Granted, a year of unemployment would eat up much of that savings, but if she hadn't put away enough for at least three years over the course of her career, then she must be pissing it away.

i think for people in the industry is more easy to invest, they have the contacts, the sources to make a nice inversion, (for example running websites)
but

whatever...I barely clear 50k a year and I don't get paid over the summer....but you what...it is called foresight, planning...if she hasn't made a scene in over a year....shame on her for not ever finding so much a waitresing job.....this problem is not only lack of budgeting....but lack of a plan after one quits porn.....she grossed enough money in her tenure to pay bills and learn a real trade......you know like most of America has cause we don't fuck for a living....
