What the heck has happened to this forum? It's DEAD. Smartt and Owen, and a couple of others, have worked their socks off to try and make this forum work, but the response is awful.

Seems to me that many members have had a humor and irony bypass.
I think that some people cannot see the irony in the posts, and they often dismiss them. Then you need an irony transplant!
I am afriad I will have to take a break from this. It just isn't worth the effort at the moment. No offence.
I might return when the forum gets going again, but currently, I've seen more life in a dead sheep!

Only a sour-milk smelling cunt on ADT would quit dude. Yes, we've all worked hard(??) to make this board an amusement. But, unlike jacking-off, good things take time. Look at the biggest boards: GFY, Oprano, even ADT. It took time to boost.
For example, check out SetGo. They have a small board, but it grows daily - as do we. Also, consider the fact that we're just a bunch of lame wankers and a not-so-savvy gang of webmasters or 'internet pimps'.

I wouldn't say the board is dead, threads still get read more than replied to but that's typical of any board. Especially us old BBSrs.

i disagree with your disagreement--the industry people who left were more than adequately replaced by kami, melissa, ivor, bishop, tyler, etc.

the ones that left weren't saying much interesting anyhow and were often closer to the bottom of the porn foodchain than the top.

let's look at it this way---there's a finite number of industry people with the interest and ability to be active on a board. then that figure is cut down to about 1/20 when you're talking about ones that are interested in doing anything but pumping product. then you figure adt will list a star who posts less than 20 tiimes on their splash page, so there's a graveyard of accounts created then posted a handful of times. right now, i'm not sure xxxpt is missing someone in the industry that adt has who you'd actually WANT to post here. adt lets you hawk stuff without facing ugly questions no matter their merit. people here have gotten smarter since last january-you've got arab, toe, chicken, bornyo tanta's and tons more who you can reasonably assume to be of unusual intelligence. hell, there are two harvard grads here now--not a single core adt poster has an ivy-league degree to the best of my knowledge. it takes an audience of smart people to make fun of dumb people.

until sometime in late spring this place was a bunch of bitter adt-refugees last january now it's mentioned on luke's site almost weekly and adultfyi around every month--the userbase is up and the relevancy is up to the point luke goes here for material. he wouldn't do that if there wasn't anything being said that was interesting.

there's a limit to how long you can talk strictly about porn--i see you in AWOP plenty.

I agreed with a lot of what you said James. There are a number of porn stars who only come around to pimp their product, and let every know their birthday is coming up and here a list of gifts I would love to recieve. The porn stars that post here (gen, mel, kame, etc.)do contribute. Funny thing now that I think of it. Porn stars seem to have a lot of birthdays, but don'tseem to get older.... hmmmm.
