As a little experiment in social tolerance, I will be broadcasting porn straight into people's homes over the next few months.

Basically, I'm going to be running a pirate porn TV station.

The plan is as follows -

After midnight, broadcast very softcore porn (read: nudity) over VHF. People will need to manually tune in the station.

In my country (Ireland) this is kind of illegal, but I think it's worth it. We're quite backwards when it comes to porn and I know a stunt like this will force a debate. Two things in particular - what is porn, and why does nudity bother us so much.

Anyway, the reason I'm posting is because I'm wondering if you guys know some suitable content I can use. This should be very "non-offensive", so should really just be nudity. Male and female nudity if possible, kind of along the lines of naturism. Also, the licensing fee should to be minimal, as I want to keep most of the cash for the broadcasting equipment.

Kind of a crazy idea, I know.

Anyway, any pointers, tips or support appreciated.

Don't you have Cinemax in Ireland.

We have fee paying cable movie stations here (for example, the Playboy Channel), but that's not really the point of what I'm trying to do.

It's more about "what the fuck, porn is being transmitted" followed by debate, rather than trying to provide a professional porn tv service...

don't know enough about content to be of any utility, but please keep us posted regarding how things progress-it sounds mad-scientist enough to be pretty cool.

As a former signals intelligence troop and a Ham operator, let me tell you that this will be very short-lived unless you do it from offshore. Authorities will DF you and shut you down in very short order.

Yeah Chuck, I expect it to be short lived, but the exposure and debate would be worth it.

During your inspector days, did anyone go to prison for illegal broadcasting, or was it just equipment confiscation?

My military work did not involve "pirate" stations, and I operate legally as a Ham. A quick Google search will give links to FCC enforcement in the US. I don't know about Ireland.

Anyway, back to the porn.
