Mariah Carey battles porn star over stage name

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Grammy-winning pop singer Mariah Carey is trying to block porn star-turned politician Mary Carey from trademarking her similar-sounding stage name, saying that fans could get the two performers confused.

That seems like ill advised legal action on Mariah's part, if you ask me.
What caught my interest in that news story was the choice of pornography titles made by the writer/editor from Mary's mediasex ouevre. Something about "Boobsville Airbags". Anyway, these are the kind of discreet and humorous titles from a pornography era gone by, and admittedly apprpriate choices since this was a humorous news story. I imagine finding such titles for such a news story becomes increasingly difficult the closer the pornography gets to the present. What if a current gonzomediasex celebrity kitten became involved in such a news story, what then. Titles are not discreet no more and appeal not to humor so much as the ugliest of grotesque sex rage we all carry around l;ike wallets. Like, if the story was written like so "Ms. Soandso, star of such videos as "Cumfart Cocktails 4" and "Gag Factor 14"..." the humorous intent of the story would get trumped by any number of other reactions such as shock or horror or trembling sexual excitement. Anyway, that's all I had to say really.

I don't suppose that there's even the slimmest chance of both of them being sent of for a psyche eval, is there? I'd pay money to read those reports. Even if they were written in crayon.

The irony is that, for a pop star, Mariah's image is very porny. She dresses for a few sizes smaller than she really is, and she is never seen in public without both heels and cleavage on display. That "Loverboy" video, with "Mute" on, is better porn than anything Vivid has done since 1995.

OTOH, Mary Carey is more of a pop culture figure than a porn star. She fucks less than goddamn Jenna Jameson did. I dare any one of you to cite me a B/G scene involving her that had any kind of stroke value outside of "C'mon!! That is the famous porn star Mary Carey phoning it in for this scene!"
