What color did the Nazi/SS organization assign to Gypsies? Right now, all I can remember was Yellow = Jew, and Pink = Fags (and semen-obsessed-yet-still-hetero males, like Brandon Iron's French/German relatives (Pierre, Gunther and Jean-Philippe Iron.)

Shit....they were classified the same as cripples...same color, etc. No matter how much or how hard I try to see only the good, positive aspects of National Socialistic theory and application, I cant reconcile my admiration of the theory with its actual practice. Me rooting for the nazis is like a wealthy, intelligent rooster buying stock in Perdue Chicken.
Why, OH WHY, did the friggin SS have to take Hitler's racial policies so far???

Try Richard Evans' "Third Reich" trilogy for a dispassionate study of the evolution of the SS.
It isn't a simple matter of the SS accidentally taking Hitler seriously. His ideology was always genocidal, even when he was just an imprisoned agitator. And, as Thucydides noted, the longer a war is fought, the more excessive the means by which it is waged.
Pure statistical discrimination. Lump the "Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves" into the same category as gypsies, tramps, and thieves.
