Check out my new car. Taken in the parking lot of my new office. 2006 Aston Martin DB9. Cool, eh? Only cost me $133,999, cuz I know a guy who has connections with the company.  This is my old car, if anyone is interested. It's a 2000 Mercedes S-Class. Keyless start, 306 HP, leather, sat nav, etc. etc. Price is negotiable. Message me if interested. I use an extremely reliable, and insured, car moving company, and I'll ship anywhere in the U.S.

smartkey is the devil! have you ever the remote fail? nightmare and half man, but benz is pretty good about putting you in another car when yours freaks out.

You shouldnt. The DB7 was lacking.
Which would be fine, but these are cars that cost $100,000+, so you can be picky.
Oh...and forget the Vanquish S. Have you driven one?
They have one of those flap panel transmissions. It's horrible. That's why I went with the DB9. You just press "D" on the dash, and it goes like any other car.
But then there's the gear shifter, which is hooked up to an automatic transmission. So it blips the revs, and the computer stuff is all voice activated.
I guess I'm ranting. But really..It's just beautiful.
Puts the S-series to shame. Although I hear the 2006 S-Series will have a LOT of pluses...like active infra-red top assist night driving and stuff.
Anyway, I like cars, and I have money, so I buy nice cars.
And besides...if I was lying, I'd lie and say I had a car that was nicer than a DB9. A Mercedes SLR Mclaren, for instance.
May not be prettier on the outside, but it performs a lot better. A LOT better. And it costs 4x as much as the DB9.
Or I could have lied and said I had a Bugatti Veyron. You know how much these cost?

i've always thought the db7 was a damn attractive car, maybe looked a little too much like the jags, but that's not a bad thing.
congrats on the db9, they're one of the prettiest things that goes fast out there. rant away, i would. cars like that barely make sense here, the roads are so beat up in the summers and covered with snow in the winter-you'd laugh at the fact i've got a volvo wagon, but hey, it's got 300hp and awd (it's the r version) and i look like a soccer mom to the coppers. zero tickets with the thing, and my car-shopping tends to be about a dozen price-ranges shy of yours.

Bap, I liked your old car better. But that's just me. What I have now is a 4-door luxury Euro car with speed. You're right on the Magnum being the best station wagon out there. I rented one for a week and what a ride. Agreed on the Volvo. I had an S60 before my current car and it kicked ass.

about the smartkey, the old man's got the 430 sedan, nothing sexy
the transponder in the ignition just stopped accepting the codes from the keys one day which was a bitch and a fiasco at the jamesn household last summer. i think one of the keys started failing and sending it codes that set off some security stuff, but it made noise and wouldn't stop with the other key.
mb took care of it very well as far as i know, cars are all just too smart these days.

btw, i think my volvo does 0-60 a tad faster
than the dodge, it's just the most incognito car for speeding ever.

A). I already had this argument
B). I thought most of the people on this board were a little more...diverse...than merely porn. And many are. But some are not, apparently. I guess I was wrong and porn is just what some of you live for. Sad, really. A guy can't network on here to try to sell a car without people flinging accusations at him. Shows you what kind of people you are.
C). We arranged the cars for the picture because the car was my Christmas bonus this year, and the pic was taken on the same day that everyone got their bonuses. The cars facing out just looked better. Better than a bunch of ass-ends of cars and dirty tailpipes. And everyone was there, helping out. Ya know...like a party, cuz I'm not working that much anymore, and I won't be having meetings again until the 6th of January. Unlike the porn business, my employees have loyalty and caring for one another's welfare, and I throw parties for my employees when I wont be there for a while. Cuz they like it and I like it and I want my employees to feel at home and welcome.
D). I don't appreciate the suggestion that I'm lying. If it was a profitable lie, that'd be one thing, but this supposed lie profits me nothing. If I was lying why wouldn't I say I had a Mclaren F1 or a Bugatti Veyron or a SLR Mclaren or a Porsche Carerra GT?
I guess no matter what some people achieve...no matter how hard they work...there will be a segment of the population that made bad choices that are so enraged by jealousy and so blinded to the fact that they don't have what they want because they made bad decisions that they have to play that old, old game...Sour Grapes.

You should look into a Land Rover. They have some of the prettiest interiors I've ever seen, and...well..I mean...I don't know what your price range is. Volvo isn't that bad. But if I was gonna buy a wagon, I'd buy a Dodge Magnum.
I have held back from putting up any pics until we go live, but i doubt there is much conversation about cars here and we shot in my friend's shop here in NY the other week so these may be of some interest in this thread. The girls are shooting around a tricked out magnum and 300m. These pics are totally uncorrected or touched up, just a few shots i grabbed quick for this thread. Comments are welcome, please.
And by the way, if anyone is ever interested in picking up one of these cars, or honda or most anything else all tricked out with anything from a dealer with the full warrenty let me know and i will put you in touch.
