Great article on this in the current New York Magazine, fyi. I read it for free in page turning style at the bookeshoppe over a couple of splattershit inducing cappucinos. drunky

Wingnut conspiracy theories abound. The Sandy Hook tragedy ought to have led to common sense gun laws, not wingnut conspiracy theories. Shames.

Can we also outlaw really high bridges?

Common sense gun laws. Wonder just what that means?

^ Like the rest of the western world has. You know Australia, Canada, Japan, the U.K.. Places where gun violence is not a part of daily life.

Re: Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists. - 09/22/16 10:34 AM

With the exception of Canada, that essentially means a gun ban. You should also be aware that now the U.K. is legally limiting knife size.

nanny state ahoy!

I think backdoorman means to say we need better conspiracy theories rather than gun laws. ::

We need less liberal fucktards.

Justice Hugo Black was spot on. There is no Federal Constitutional right for an individual to own automatic weapons.

Re: Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists. - 09/22/16 07:39 PM

Automatic weapons are illegal. AR-15's and other legal assault weapons are semi-automatic. Unless you have an antique musket, pretty much any gun you can buy lets you fire as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Re: Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists. - 09/22/16 09:25 PM

I would restore the Semi-Automatic Weapons Act of 1994. There is no legitimate hunting or self-defense rationale for protecting ownership of these devastating weapons of mass assault.

I don't buy conspiracies. Show me the fucking money. The black and white hard evidence and maybe just maybe I'll start believing.

I don't think anybody "buys" conspiracy theories, BDM. Folks just rent 'em space in their heads. And from the looks of things, some folks are outright slumlords about it. grin

But they still have violence. Don't think the dead guy's family is going to sleep better knowing their son was killed by a knife or baseball bat rather than a gun.

And if you take out stats from the high gun restriction, Liberal voting, minority inner city, the US gun violence "problem" drops dramatically. So maybe the problem is there, and not with the inanimate object

Inner cities like Columbine, San Bernadino, Orlando, Sandy Hook, et al?

My comment was in response to the notion that other countries don't have violent crime. Cry all you want about Sandy Hook, but how many kids have been killed in inner cities this year? Try and keep up muppet
