Ear infection/Ruptured ear drum - 03/27/15 10:00 PM

Anybody ever rupture an ear drum??

I got an ear infection from hell. I was in agony for 4 days. The ear canal swelled completely shut. The swelling was putting pressure on my lower jaw and pushed my jaw alignment out of whack so I couldn't seat my upper and lower teeth together properly when I closed my mouth. I got a doctors appointment and then the night before the appointment something gave and the fluid started draining. The swelling went down marginally but I was still in some intense pain....like ice pick stabbing into my ear kind of pain. I went to doctor and the ear drum ruptured. I'm 95% deaf in my right ear at the moment. I'm going on 6 days with very loud ringing or a tone in the bad ear like if you shoot a .45 in a small closed garage without hearing protection except its not going away. I'm told the eardrum usually grows back on its own in a couple months. This partial deafness shit sucks balls. I can't hear my fucking loud alarm clock. If any noise comes from my right side I can't hear it. The fucking ear is constantly leaking fluid in a slow steady stream that will run down my neck if I don't keep the ear packed with cottonballs. I have to change the cotton every 20 to 30 minutes. The pain just started easing off this morning but I still get a random intense stab of pain shoot through the ear into my skull. The fucking loud noises I can't hear in the bad ear will still cause pain in the bad ear as well. I came so close to losing my shit this past week and fucking somebody up.

The doctor prescribed an oral antibiotic and some antibiotic drops for the infection. He says once the infection is under control the ear drum *SHOULD* start to repair itself BUT if it doesn't he's going to have to pass me along to a specialist. That means I'm going to be deaf in my right ear because I got no insurance and can't afford the doctor I went to let alone a specialist.

It won't be expensive. I went to an ear/nose/throat specialist and when I told them I was uninsured they charged me $80. And they were in a high rise by UCLA with a huge suite of offices. I had an infection he described as a raspberry behind my ear drum.
They say the ear drum's a membrane and it grows back. Keep the faith.

Good luck man. I get ear infections every time I swim in the ocean. After the pain of the first one, I hit the Dr office after the first day and get the drops.

I never had an ear infection before this. I didn't stick anything in my ear either. The doctor acted like I was lying. "Are you sure?". Yeah, I'm fucking sure I didn't jam anything down my ear hole before the Spanish Inquisition took up residence in my fucking skull for almost a week.

Do what you gotta do to get it fixed. Ear problems just multiply if you don't and can really fuck you up. Good luck, man.

Why is there such genuine compassion and concern amongst board members over something as relatively innocuous as an ear infection and yet you take callous and sadistic delight in the ruination of young women's lives through pirnography?

The young man needs a dose of ACA/Obamacare.
Make it so!

I looked into Obama care back during the last big rush and if I had the cash they wanted to charge me a month and the yearly out of pocket fees before the shit kicked in and paid for anything I wouldn't need the insurance.

Things were better today. No pain. Slight ringing and a very loud rushing sound like if you listened to the ocean in a sea shell only amplified to 70db. The ear is still draining a lot of fluid but I've gotten some hearing back in it...not much but some. When I woke up the inner ear was itching like a mother fucker.

The regular doctor hit me for 85 bucks and the prescriptions were about 60. Somebody gave me a discount pharmacy card. I thought the thing was bullshit but tried it anyway and it knocked 45 off the prescription bill so the 60 was after the discount . I paid for it with a gallon wine jug full of change I was hoarding for a rainy day.

Because he's a human being. A whore's life is ruined long before the cameras start rolling.
