Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 09/23/1104:42 PM
that was pretty typical aj...just putting that out there for the uninitiated. that being said it pretty much goes without saying he'll take his own life at some point in the near future.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 10/01/1104:08 PM
He's pretty much the interweb eras' answer to Mark From Michigan and those shortwave guys from the militia days, no? The conspiracies are all pretty much the same as were prevalent in that time, aren't they?
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 10/01/1108:53 PM
He's another web-enabled idiot. Something happens and it's all in "the globalists' agenda" even if it's every-day stuff. Through a waterproof net of pseudo-wisdom everything's supposed to make sense. The messianic tendencies come through here and there, scolding some idiot claiming to do the work of god and, a few minutes or clips later, considering himself to deliver a message for the lord. Welcome to the Twilight Zone. Nellies rule the earth. There's one who stands against corruption and blindness. And blah, blah, blah...
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 10/02/1107:51 AM
He channels the insanity from other conspiracy theorists who serve as his "correspondents," with missives from Europe and the UK, NY, etc. Each has a more extravagant claim than the previous one. Jones thread the nuttery from each into his own insane tapestry and goes off into those rage-filled tantrums which usually end with him wanting to kill cops who overreach their authority, TSA screeners who squeeze genitals and the poor benighted masses who don't believe him and are fodder for "globalist" and "bankster" fraud, eugenics' programs and other sinister plots. All fun until you realize some people might be taking notes and planning away at how to help Alex vanquish Evil and its minions.

Shortwave ??? You listen , Ahab ?
Yes, shortwave. In the aftermath of of the Oklahoma City bombing, attention was focused on the militia movement. Part of that movement were these schlubs pushing that agenda and conspiracy theories on shortwave.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 10/05/1103:17 PM
It's more complex than that. Watch the two connected parts of the link about the CPS and check out the randomly added grotesqueries if you want to know more. He delivers. As comedy.
Nothing says I'm protesting government largess to corporate greed like sitting idle in a park for several weeks subsisting on Dominos pizza you order from an iphone you don't even pay for.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 10/06/1105:39 PM
Watch out or all you subversive elements end up in a FEMA camp to get tortured. Daily, casually. Some rape here and there and off you go to ingest food spiced up with big pharma's finest unapproved test batches. There's paranoia everywhere!

CPS/TSA/DHS/ATF/NSA/DARPA/ATT/APPLE/STATE/DOJ/FRB/DOD/CIA/FOX NEWZ/CNN/NYPD Hercules Units/City of Austin Water Utility/Perry/Obama... They all want his precious bodily fluids. Coincidentally, they all own black helicopters, want to manhandle his genitals in search of Bolivian marching powder, and want to push their fiat money down his patriot throat! He's probably on a Bernanke-managed hit list, too... At night, Fed and German Central Bank officials slink into his bedroom and exchange his Krugerrands, American Eagles and Napoleons for smelly $20 dollar bills and regular DM banknotes.

Almost forgot... Bankster-allied operatives from NATO/UN/UNDP/UNESCO/JPMorganChase/CITI/BoA/Goldman and Societe Generale routinely add butt juice to his coffee and to his car's gas tank. The poor man! So many enemies, so little radio time!
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 10/25/1108:56 AM
The guy 's beyond silly. To post a conversation on his YouTube channel which clearly lets him appear to be a major moron and see it as a success is quite inventive. Concrete. Weights. An abandoned industrial complex. Soon. Hopefully.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 10/28/1107:45 AM
His schtick reminds me of U Eco's "Foucault's Pendulum": ... The plot of Foucault's Pendulum revolves around three friends, as relevant to the rule of three, named Belbo, Diotallevi and Casaubon, who work for a vanity publisher in Milan. After reading one too many manuscripts about occult conspiracy theories, they decide they can do better, and set out to invent their own conspiracy for fun. They call this satirical intellectual game "The Plan". As Belbo, Diotallevi and Casaubon become increasingly obsessed with The Plan, they sometimes forget that it's just a game. Worse still, when adherents of other conspiracy theories learn about The Plan, they take it seriously. Belbo finds himself the target of a very real secret society that believes he possesses the key to the lost treasure of the Knights Templar. ...

Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 01/06/1210:46 PM
^^^Miller is still selling out stand-up shows and doing good HBO specials. I can understand if politics makes you see him as some sort of right-wing nut job, but he's still got the chops.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 01/06/1211:17 PM
The last thing i saw by Miller was All-In and it was fucking terrible. I find Carolla funny, though i wouldn't toss him in with the whole right wing crowd.
As far as "left-wing" comedians, you can't get less funny than Janeane Garofalo. Then again, women in general aren't funny.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 01/06/1211:41 PM
Dane Cook sells out stand up shows. Miller's timing is still impeccable but he ran out of content back when he had the talk show on HBO. Taking oneself too seriously is usually the death knell of a stand up, hell great stand ups like Lenny Bruce, George Carlin and Bill Hicks all lost it once they thought people were coming to them for political deep-thoughts instead of yucks.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 01/06/1211:44 PM
^^^ Does anyone take Dane Cook seriously as a stand-up comedian? And if the other guys you compare to Dennis Miller as far as "losing it" are Lenny Bruce, George Carlin & Bill Hicks, I think he's still doing OK.

No, I haven't. And why the fuck would I want to? Dennis Miller hasn't done anything remotely close to that, and I'm still sticking with my assertion that he is still funny.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 01/07/1208:11 AM
I'm glad someone shares my view on Hicks and Bruce. Sadly, I feel Stanhope might wind up going down the same road. Tina Fey is an exception to the rule as far as broads.

Radio is the refuge of failed comedians. Just listen to a great stand up like Louis C.K. smile and bear it through some lame O&A interview.
Steezo is closer with Miller, but he stopped being funny for years before he took the right wing loony turn.
I'm not talking about comedians on radio. I'm talking about radio hosts who use comedy. Doing radio is a skill unto itself. That's why Air America failed. The thought was "anybody can do radio" and it's just not true.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 01/08/1202:44 AM
'Radio hosts who use comedy' are exactly the douchebags I was referring to. They don't have the chops to make it as comedians so they up on morning radio shows with their shitty stingers and fart jokes and names like 'Crash' and 'Ripper.' FM radio gave up on actually playing music for this 'personality driven' shit. AM became the graveyard that allows fools like Jones to get a soap box.

That's dead fucking on, Claude. I don't know if they're in Canada or not, but Bob and Tom are a perfect example of an incredibly-unfunny-despite-efforts show, and it seems to have a carrier in every goddamn state.
There's a good morning show here, but it's mostly due to the fact that it's so small, that a lot of the comedy is locally focused and very relatable. They rip on local businesses and the city and all.

Morning Zoo and talk formats are two very different things, although I think we can all agree that morning zoo hosts need to be eradicated in the most painful way possible. Talk format is talk, and the best practitioners of it add some comedy aspects. They may be fools to you, but someone listens to them.
Tell me, what else is AM good for? Are you just dying to listen to your favorite tunes on good ol' mono AM? I know I'm not looking forward to listening to Genesis filtered through a tin can.
The fact remains that radio hosting and stand up are two very different things. Not saying that one's better than the other. I'm just saying that boiling it down to radio guys being failed stand ups is not only lazy, it's also far from accurate.
Sure, Alex Jones is a tool, but he makes a fair living being one. I guess he's doing something right.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 01/22/1202:36 AM
Love this from the comments section:
Fuck them, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK! Leave them with the zombies that they already own.. Get the fuck out, while you can! Don't even go into the city, if you can work from home, DO SO! Shift your life AWAY from their zone of control.. Minimize contact with them.. Cut into their tax base, watch them shrivel into the begging dogs they really are.. See what happens when nobody plays their game.. THIS is how you really hurt them..
Yeah man, destroy the system by selling on ebay for a living.

In another rave surrounding gun control laws he more more than less told his audience that, jumped up on ritalin, he'd shoot anyone storming into his house. It might just have been his brand of idiocy. Or not. It's all laughable and completely crazy with this guy. His lunacy gist could be written up in a small paragraph. He constantly repeats himself. He thinks human and canine psychology are really close. His repressed language whenever anything comes close to sexuality as a topic is interesting. His Christian connection to the guy upstairs as well. Like doing his work and so on. Yet he bashes others proclaiming the same. The anti-gay tirades are enlightening. One of his nightmares could be this: The globablists' minions finally breach his home to rape his family in front of him repeatedly, all the while giving them vaccine shots he just knows to cause cancer, HPV and HIV and then move on to waterboarding with fluoridated water. Alternative media. No. Just seriously batty.

You should be proud of that rant^^^. Waterboarding with fluoridated water wrapped it up beautifully. You, sir, are a poet.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 01/31/1208:52 PM
Thanks. It's not exactly meant to be a rant, rather an initiation to the guy after several months of partially watching his shitty output. He seems convinced enough in any case. Freaky shit.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 02/12/1212:11 AM
The sit-in people for the cult leader are all weird in their different ways. The Nightly News show generally appears to be a platform for bad humour and passively aggressively sticking it to the man. What a clownish approach to journalism demanding to be recognised. Quotation marks are optional wherever you want.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 03/02/1203:14 PM
I have it from good sources that a rouge element of Seal Team 6 has been tasked to pour poison down his ear (or is that down his pants?) and that the Bilderberg group, in cahoots with the High Masonic order of Tea Sipping Crumpet Munchers, is set to plant a mole in his Austin Command Center so they can foil what plans this hero is devising in order to save us all from the Globalists, Banksters and their minions in the Democratic and Republican parties!!
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 03/18/1206:44 PM
I was watching a doc about the OKC Bombing the other night. It's a conspiracy I'm still kind of interested in, because I have a couple of unanswered questions. Everything was going fine, information I'd never heard before, Elahim City, all that. Suddenly I hear this raspy, Rick Radio voice, and I'm like no fucking way. I look at the screen: Alex Fucking Jones. I was done.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 05/03/1206:09 AM
Shithead. Occupied. His relatives must all be brainwashed to no end. He might just be a ridiculous creature with nowhere to get off without feeling Christian guilt nonsense. His bitch shall never let him have stinky cunt again; and anal is for sinners. Maybe Buddhism would let him get cheered up. Or getting rid of whatever he is on. Hopefully this will never happen. It is just too fucking grotesque.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 06/07/1210:06 PM
The inside comedy for those who ever listened to his bullshit is that all the "waking up" and all the rest always happens, in almost every show. Revolutions tend to be late.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 11/16/1206:00 AM
Ive been listeing to Alex Jones for years. Most of what he says is true and easily verified with any effort. Most of the time he backs up what he is saying with articles from mainstream media.
Re: Alex Jones - Just Ridiculous - 11/16/1211:48 AM
He's either partially illiterate or surrounds himself with people who are, tries to force-feed his Christian morality down his audience's throat and preaches the same nonsensical bullshit for many years. Every time something popular's regurgitated elsewhere, he joins in and tries to connect it to his laughable belief and conspiracy system. What a fucking idiot.
