not as widely known as the previously mentioned EHG counterparts. Very similar musical style and same proclivity for drug intake and chaotic live shows that were dangerous places to be. At one show a guitar was flung full force into an amplifier where it exploded into hundreds of splinters, no back up guitar, end of show. That would be considered a milder evening.

have you listened to the radio in the last, oh, 50 years? That's all there is. No one is making out of the box music because there's no money to be made in it. Maybe Rage Against the Machine. And that's a big maybe. And if the record company dropped their support, it would be over. Sure, Morello did the Nightwatchman thing, but I doubt he sold tons of units.
Very few acts have carte blanche to do whatever they want. Especially if they want to make music as a career, rather than as a hobby.
