Well it is another year for football and that means another year to whip Chico in Fantasy football and Doron too if he gets involved
Floofin was the man last season and will try and defend his title this year I hope.
I had to get moving on this because i had a few people ask me when it was going to start and also Chico threatened to armbar me like a Gracie if I didn't. Actually he said he would start one if I didn't but he would of course rig the draft thus insuring he could get all the Steelers
I set up a league on yahoo for all of us ( well up to 10 of us) here on XXXporntalk.com. If you like the National Football League then join up and see how well your fantasy team stacks up against your fellow xxxporntalkers. All you need to play is a yahoo id( for my yahoo, yahoo mail, etc.). It is free to get a yahoo Id so If you don't already have one- get one. The fantasy football league is free as well. I have set the live draft up for Monday August 26 11:00 pm Eastern standard time. If a bunch of us can't make it then I can try to move it to another time. You can also pre rank your players after signing up and if you don't make the live draft the computer will do it for you.

HAHA, the last fucker that was popping shit before the draft found himself locked into a little wager, 1,000 euro, on who had the better season. It was pretty funny, because while I was kicking his ass, I was also sending him and the league little economics/finance stories about the rising currency market, so not only did he have to look forward to losing a sizable bet, he didn't know exactly how much he was going to lose with the rising rates.

Chico finally got in so it is now 8 teams, I upped the max number of teams to 16 and can always raise or lower it depending upon need. So there is no excuse for you bastards not to join. Plus it's free ( you cheap sobs, like myself
) but of course that means no prize except bragging rights, which do come in handy.

Its too bad the previous seasons couldnt be saved in an archeive or something. I'll screengrab throughout the season and setup a special thread for it. That way we can all see the history of the XXXPT FF LEAGUE.

Its a Cleetusism. He does that every yr. I'd rather him do it closer to the 22 or so. It gives us some flexibility as far as trades go.

Put in when you want to do it and we will do it then. Bear in mind that the end of the month is better because we get to see how the preseason moves shape up and that it should be around 11pm est so that it is doable for both east and west coast peeps. Other than that i'm flexible

a qb and 2 rbs from DEN (neither of which rb is the starter and Den always being a fantasy rb mess)
A starting RB and TE from the same team, never really a good idea
3 of your RBs with the same bye week, and 2 with another common bye week
Priest Holmes who most likely won't even play for at least 6 games, taking him to his week 7 bye, so won't even see the light of day until at LEAST week 8 and probably won't ever play again.
An RB and WR from the same team, terrible situation
Now, those are just poor choices from a strategic standpoint, I won't even go into how bad some of those picks are talent wise. You MAY want to pipe down with the shit talk for a while Willie. MUHAHAHA

Favre produces well, this is fantasy we are talking about, in fantasy he still has some milege. He can turn it on late in the season as well. I was happy to settle for him as a result of snatching up rb's and wr's earlier in the draft. Leinart is a flyer, and I would be surprised if Warner didn't get destroyed by week 8, and with those weapons on that team he is set. IF he rode Bush's coattails, now he can ride Edge, Boldin, and Fitz's coattails.

Ok, this might take a second. I'm such a die hard Cowboy fan mix that with the hatred of all the other 31 NFL teams.
Equals up to me being a bad FF player. I also watch a ton of NCAA and NFL games each week. I'll watch every OSU game and then I Tivo all the other Big 10 games to scout OSU's next team.
It takes days to watch. But I can fast forward through some. Repeat for Dallas in the NFL.
I attend all the home games (sec-125-Row-7-seat 10) but I also watch the NFL season ticket Short Cuts. Directv just started that last year.
Each NFL game is condensed to 30 minutes. I Tivo those too.
I know it's a lame excuse.
What an awful existence.

Shit is crazy. I think Jerry wants a do over on that one. Dallas radio is saying that TO might be the 3rd WR during the Jacksonville game. I wouldn't start him in the first week if I were you.
Did anyone get the Cowboys D? I went to the game to see for myself if their D was really that good. The shit is true. They were getting QB pressure with out any kind of blitzing.
D. Ware was dropping into coverage on almost every 3rd down pass play. These guys look fast. I also noticed that T. Newman is getting no action.
Meaning no QB's are throwing the ball his way. I know it's just pre-season but the defense wont disappoint this year.

The writing was on the wall with TO. He is clearly the most talented wr in the nfl right now, but if he misses 3 games a year to stupidity, what is the point? It seems he always screws you at the end of the season too wehn it really counts during a playoff run. I had TO 2 years ago and he was the man. The guy shows up looking like a tour de france time trialist with a helmet and everything to ride a stationary bike, what the fuck is up with that. This is going to end up terribly, and the better Glenn looks, the worse a pissing match this is gonna be. I've had Shockey in my line-up the two previous seasons and he puts up numbers, numbers that get me points. Points is what matters here. Same with the other players. Dude, I disagree. Because of parity/mediocrity, almost everyone was still in the hunt to the end. It was a mosh pit for the playoff berths, look at me, I fucking tie the last week of the season and go from a 2nd place finish and a bye to 4th. With King excepted, no one's team really took wing.
It's tough to talk shit when you're favored by 20 points but lose to the Guapo's of the league.

I was paying attention, but I'd rather stick with the guys that got me to the title game. But that's beside the point. If every team that is out of the running or loses in the playoffs releases their players it turns the semi finals and final game into a hoax. Jaded turned over nearly half his roster with some of the best players in the League, if every one in the League for next year is cool with it then that's fine, but it seems to kinda ruin the championship. Well, whatever, I'm not out of it yet suckas.

We all change players from week to week. I think the average roster move is 20 per year( based on previous seasons). Sometimes its neeed due to injuries, players getting benched etc. Anyway, good luck to King and Jaded.

Come on, you know that's not what I'm talking about. Replacing injuries or poor performers during the season is obviously OK. I'm talking about selectively releasing players like Brian Westbrook, J. Addai, Todd Heap, Plaxico Burress, Eli Manning, etc. at the end of the year for no apparent reason. I'm curious why you and Willie released some players and not others. Something doesn't seem right about this.

There was al limit on how many players you can release. You need enough player to field an actual team. Go figure. Otherwise I would have released the whole damn team. There is no conspiracy if that is what your implying.

All those players were up for grabs by: tunacan, me, and king in that order
what happened is king you never logged on before the waivers processed on tuesday checked who was available and put in your requests
let me explain how wavers work
if 6 players were available and tunacan, myself, and king put in requests for the same 6 players in the same order:
each of us would get 2 players
1. Tunacan
2. Jaded
3. King
4. Tunacan
5. Jaded
6. King
noone else put in requests so I got the players
FF is about coaching too which actually was timely cause i hadnt been putting up shit for numbers lately

I didn't mean to sound like a whiny bitch or try to diminish JJ's win, if he does win after tomorrow night. JJ had every right to pick up any player he wanted because nothing was said to the otherwise. It's just that when an influx of top tier free agents from teams that have been eliminated or don't care fucks with the legitimacy of the title game. What if every team released their top players before the game between JJ and myself. We both could conceivably have entirely new rosters. It would be like a lame ass Pro Bowl in Hawaii rather than a Super Bowl between the two best teams that made it through the playoffs. If I'm the only one that thinks it takes away from the league championship then that's fine, majority rule is cool. It just doesn't seem right.

If you are the only one claiming free agents off the waiver wire you can grab every single one you want. It's not the process that is in question. The guys you picked up from the other teams would never ever have been available to you during the regular season because they are too valuable, so why should they be available before the championship. I'm just sayin it kinda fucks everything up after a long hard fought regular season and playoffs. Again, if everybody is fine with it, no problem. It was a fun FF season.

I was just trying to show that NFL parity kind of sucks...it's unpredictable and maddening. I almost beat tunavan and I only fielded 1/2 of a team. Hopefully everyone will stay involved past week 3 next year, and a few more teams will show up.
