Buttman's Twerkin' An' Jerkin'

Buttman's Twerkin' An' Jerkin' - 08/13/15 01:21 PM

I already wrote my Virgo Peridot twerk expose a few months ago, but this dvd title caught my attention seeing that there’s a scene with her in this movie. Just to clear things up right off the bat, this isn't' a solo feature with Stagliano getting freaky by himself, though it should be re-titled "Buttman's Gropin' An' Gapin'." There's not enough twerkin' going on. It's basically Stag self-indulging himself in his current perversions. He sticks his nose up their asses, puts clothespins on their pussies and distends their sphincters. Geez, to think Buttman was once about the shape of booty and curvature of the rear. Back when he was rolling with Rosco Bowltree aka Patrick Collins in the early days of Evil Angel. It was ass appreciation of the highest order. It heralded the end of pro am and the beginning of the gonzo era. I’d like to see Virgo in an old Buttman movie, but that ain’t gonna happen, there’s no porno time machine yet. Blowing out the butthole of Virgo Peridot with a wide buttplug is exactly what I don’t want to see happen to dat heavenly booyatay.

Do these whores know he has AIDS? Or can he lie to them because he's not in a "performing role?"

I don't know if Stag sniffing pornho ass transmits anything and don't want to know.

Anyway, the title of that flick is stupider than "Flirtin' & Squirtin'."

Re: Buttman's Twerkin' An' Jerkin' - 09/03/15 09:54 AM

It's definitely a stupid title especially when you take into account the focus isn't really on twerking. Virgo is the queen of twerk. Her clips scattered all over the Internet are way hotter than this. All he had to do with her is oil up dat ass and let 'er rip. But nooo... Stag has to engage in his kinks that nobody really is into cept for creeps. Gaping and clothespins around the pussy, seriously? Guess that's what happens when a sex addict can't fuck asses on camera anymore. Anti-porn people always like to claim the slippery slope to depravity theory that surmises eventually porn addicts get into more bizarre porn seeking new thrills. It seems to be the case with pornographers like Stagliano who went from idolatry of the female ass to trannys and the devil only knows what else which led to HIV and it's all downhill from there.
That being said, I wonder how long before the screeners stop if they figure out who I am on the list. Oh well, no big deal, none are really worth watching and they now put stickers on the inserts of the screeners so those critics who still get them can't resell them. Bastards. They're piling up in my garage.

For the most part, they stopped sending physical screeners in July, so anyone talking about an April release like "Twerkin" here in September probably isn't getting anything directly from the company anyway. If those stickers offend you so much though, there are several products that safely remove them.

Yeah well, I got this screener months ago. I've got a life to lead other than review porn DVDs as soon as they arrive at my doorstep. When they no longer came with art discs also I wasn't so quickly inclined to open them up and find a few tranny DVDs, so the boxes piled up. Without the promo images they were even more worthless to review because words alone don't sell porn, pictures help with promotion. My eyes glaze over with boredom when some hack porn critic writes War and Peace reviewing some throwaway gonzo parody thinking it's the greatest thing since the last porn parody they liked. Plus, porn critics like yourself probably generally don't want to ruffle feathers with negative reviews because that means they''ll get knocked off the mailing list. Unless you like everything which means you have no taste. Reviews generally had to be positive when reviewing in print media because a bad review would potentially mean a loss in advertising revenue. One of the few porn critics I used to respect was Christian Shapiro from Hustler back in the day because he was fearless and LFP didn't have to worry about upsetting anybody.
Btw, as you should probably know, the stickers are on the paper insert not on the outside of the plastic dvd case, so trying to remove them would either leave a partially torn sticker or torn insert and water or cleaner would just damage the paper. Plus, the DVDs used to be sent sealed and brand new, not opened with the inserts removed and a sticker placed on them so they get damaged if one tries to remove them therefore making them worthless. It's pathetic and cheap.

If your big concern was the possibility a whole box might have a few tranny titles in it, I suggest the boxes were better left unopened in your garage too. I would just send such titles to those who really liked them and everyone was happy, though some in the TS community are still pissed off at my "beer scale" for rating them as well as my use of male pronouns for describing the guys.

There are worse hobbies out there to enjoy, I know far too many that spend at least as much time watching sports or keeping up with politics they will never influence. And for the most part, those who wrote epic length reviews of the "War and Peace" kind have either passed away or dropped out years ago, the need for an outsider to point out where a company is misleading consumers just as strong as ever.

But if you think I spend all day kissing ass in reviews while refusing to ruffle feathers, you can't have been too prolific a reviewer or in touch with the industry, my feather ruffling glory days perhaps past as I've cut back but still held up regularly by a few haters. Some still refuse to ship because they don't get the ratings their egos demand or ship titles months later, figuring there will be less impact. The real rating inflation experts are those at ADT, Rancho, and elsewhere where anything lower than 4 out of 5 stars means the director/performer didn't kiss enough ass at the last convention.

So if "Christian Shapiro" is your critical hero, you might want to read his book, "Prisoner of X" where he laughs at the many cheap shots he made in reviews, all while giving the exact same titles glowing reports under a myriad of aliases (not even watching most of the titles as I recall) to whomever would pay him. I'm sure you can find a copy on Amazon for a single penny (plus shipping) but it's actually a better read than any of his "articles" or "reviews" from the 20 years he worked at Hustler.

And if removing labels is a major concern, buy a bottle of Un-Du Adhesive Remover as it works on them just fine without damaging the paper insert. Other products work too but like you, I did like the art discs Evil used to send even if I took my own screen captures, believing as you do how important they are to a full review.

Regardless, every review has potential worth to someone, as long as you understand the limits of the writer in conveying what works for you personally. I write for a broader audience than XPT and my tastes are not so specific as to be worthless nor are they so broad as to be meaningless, no care given to who does or doesn't advertise as I do it for fun.

Was/Is Bobo the only one that sold/sells screeners? I keep mine for reference but few prolific reviewers ever seemed to care enough to keep their titles.

I should probably start this off with a little history lesson about myself. I just didn't breeze into XPT without any connection to the adult industry. Jeff Steward and Nelson X suggested I should check it out since as I was freelancing for porn review magazines at the same time I was self publishing my own music porn review rag back before there was cyberspace as we know it. I have been published in many x rated publications over the years before print tanked and at times have suffered the indignity of having to say positive things about shitty porn movies for a paycheck under different aliases as well. Sad but true. Granted that may seem hypocritical but it's the nature of the beast. However, I still managed to burn bridges and make enemies over the years because the egos in porn are big yet very fragile.
At least I can admit my folly, whereas most other porn critics, not necessarily insinuating you, seem to delude themselves into thinking they have some major influence over what people may purchase. In some cases they might help somebody make the jump into buying something and if anybody listens to my advice that's cool but I don't expect it. Back when I still purchased porn I would take into account what porn critics were saying until I realized that most were bullshitters or had no taste and that porn, like art, is totally subjective. Most online porn reviewers just seem like glorified fanboys seeking attention from porn stars. XPT allows me to have fun and vent without dealing with an asshole "don't rock the boat" editor only out to keep their low paying job and keep advertisers happy. I'm in the XRCO as well, don't get me going on that, but I honestly don't care anymore what other critics have to opine about a throwaway product like porn.
If what you're saying about Christian Shapiro is true and I'll take your word for it because I 'm not about to read his book, but it doesn't surprise me in the least that he wrote positive stuff about the same stuff he trashed because he wanted to keep his job as well as having the luxury of being allowed to say the nasty stuff he said.
In regard to the Evil Angel boxes unopened in the garage, I opened them because curiousity got the best of me and I like some of Kevin Moore's titles and some Le Wood. As to giving away the TS titles, nobody I know would want them thankfully, but unopened or brand new without the stickers is a different story. Thanks for the tip about the Un-Du adhesive remover though.

Well, you're welcome about the tip. It originally came from Bob, who swears by it. Your explanation clears up a great deal of the mindset behind many of your comments so thanks for that. My own journey here started with Jeff inviting me before XPT opened, my "union card" being how screwed over I was by ADT almost 15 years ago. I declined until much later because I simply didn't want to wallow in hate. The biggest reason ADT owners wanted me gone was how I managed to piss off advertisers with reviews, my willingness to call BS on agents and PR hacks posing as their performers in their forums a close second (that was when they decided to cultivate the industry rather than serve the consumer, a marked change in dynamics).

I looked for a home after that, writing under different aliases but unwilling to suck the dick by having to say nice things about junk like others had to. For me, it was a hobby so I wasn't worried about paying the bills, turning down offers from all the usual places as they made it clear how their reviews worked. The closest accommodation I could find was one place willing to get me anything I wanted but I could only write "positive" reviews (different from a "good" review which could mean a wide range of ass tearing comments). I ended up at a mainstream review website and led the charge into porn for years before it was sold off to IB Brands, taking the porn part to form XCritic where I am still free to say whatever I want, to the point advertisers have left (and often come back). I don't really fault those who reviewed "as a job" or sold their souls by saying whatever they had to say but I still enjoy porn 10k reviews later (skipping the dreck and rarely wasting the time writing up titles that looked promising but fall way short).

The reviews are mostly for consumers to know something other than the company party line, no claims of influence, no worries about everyone's taste being different (my favorite line being we are all a majority of one), and no serious cares about objectively reporting what I see. "Shapiro" only attacked titles he was told to or allowed to so that limits his hero status for me but the true shame is that his book proves he could write well and for shipping, you can relive your glory years of respecting a like minded fellow.

From my point of view though, it must have been hell writing to spec, especially whenever you came to the realization you hated porn and found all of it disposable. I made a decent living in an unrelated field with enough spare time to write as often as I cared to. Unlike some of the fanboys, I'm not writing love letters to self absorbed chicks who smile once or twice a year at me at shows like Bobo, "Jack", and the others at ADT; their claims of "real friendship" laughable considering what is said off the record about them by the same women. I speak to some from time to time or exchange emails but have little in common with them to delude myself, the fact being that if I lose interest in porn I will just walk away, back out of XRCO voting, AVN, XBiz, and other groups that all need a serious purging of who helps them pick the best of the year.

I hope you enjoy it. Aside from the fact that there are copies on Amazon for a single penny, you just pay for the shipping, there was enough balanced coverage of the industry to make it worthwhile.

Lol, given information in this thread alone then comparing it to the XRCO roster and/or Evil's shipping lists (they didn't ship titles to many people even earlier this year), I doubt it would take a psychic to figure out your identity if there was some good reason to do so. I'm not going to dig through scores of boxes of books to save you a whooping $4 but if I come across it, I'll let you know. wink

The Stagliano ass worships series is great stuff for the first 10-15 minutes before he breaks out the clothespins and sex toys. The scenes with Sasha Grey, Charlotte Vale, Alexis Texas, Lisa Del Sierra and others are all worthwhile.
