Hello I am 18 year old and from the UK. I have just finished college where I studied media which involved film making and stuff and i'd like to get into porn directing. I am not some 18 year old idiot perv I am interested in the industry from a professional point of view and would like to be a serious director. Could some other fellow directors (sucsessful ones) give me a little advice possibly on how one would get started, what it take etc...

I reckon hiring CAOH to write scripts and scenarios would be a good start. His rate would probably be around 2 bottles of everclear per movie, based on his current postings.

You might be better off asking over at http://www.bgafd.co.uk, as the forums there are frequented by a lot of UK Producers/Directors. Also try http://www.ukadultproducers.com too.

You're probably better off shooting content for the web, as I used to distribute R18's in the UK, and I can tell you that the laws really don't favour DVD producers. There are no such problems shooting for a website. If you like, drop me a PM and we can chat, as I'm planning to shoot some of my own stuff in the near future.

how could i get empoloyed by a studio. Just doing anything, dosn't have to be directing. Would i need to be qualified in anything?

I think if you have a passion for this and some creativity you should do fine.

If you want to know how NOT to direct watch some of Bradon Iron porn videos - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. If you want to watch some good porn movies watch some evil angel directors.

Contact or try to bump into as many directors or photographers as you can and tell then you love their work and want to assist them. Tell them you will work for free if needed.
