I liked that when Woody Harrelson asked him about his first sexual experience Larry replied that it was with a chicken. Harrelson later followed up to see if Flint was fucking with him and Larry told him the story.

I read that book a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. I found it telling that he required his underpaid and abused employees to pay to park in the building where Hustler was based; Larry owned that building. I guess it was another way to claw back money from his employees. Also mentioned in the book, there was some expensive dinner that Larry invited the author and his wife to, and Larry billed him for his and his wife's food and drink.

For a brief time, I was friendly with his nephew Jimmy and his wife and I was able the visit the belly of the beast in Beverly Hills. In the lobby were those famous 100K Tiffany lamps and all of the expensive office furniture. I saw Larry in the gold-plated wheelchair in passing.

Also, what was interesting -- considering the type of material they generated -- the employees were required to wear formal business attire. More Wall Street than California porno and media empire.

My brother used to play poker at Hustler casino in LA often. One day, he noticed they were giving away free hot dogs from a cart in the lobby area. He got a dog, and went to play a few hands. Later he passed by the dog cart and they were back to charging. He asked the guy what was up and the guy replied that Larry rolled by and noticed the free hot dog promotion and shut it down with a What the Fuck.
