John Stagliano on Trial - 07/13/10 07:18 PM

John Stagliano is on trial and facing prison time. Any thoughts?

Re: John Stagliano on Trial - 07/13/10 08:18 PM

The porn biz is apparently going to be smacked down again by politically-motivated obscenity bullshit. However, the government's failure to bring about meaningful change is the greater injustice.

Re: John Stagliano on Trial - 07/13/10 08:27 PM

I'm not very familiar with his stuff beyond the Buttman vids of the late 80's- early 90's. I was under the impression he had started doing more artsy stuff.

What are the details of the charges? Is it a mailing across state lines or a community standards kind of thing. Anyone have links to the indictments? Fake lawyers? Anyone? Bueller?

Max and Rob 'had it coming', so faggots like Bill Margold and his crew who act like they are trying to protect the industry just let them twist in the wind. See , there are smut peddlers whose freedom of expression matters more than others. Funny thing: if they can go after somebody in the porn biz for obscenity, they can go after anybody in the porn biz for obscentity.

SHow me an obscenity case that was *started* under this democratic admin, then we'll talk. This one dates back to 2005, under the Grand Operation of Perverts own George W. Bush. Now that said, the Obama admin should have had the balls to kill all inherited obscenity shit the minute they took over, but as the DOJ is supposed to non-political they kept it going. Shame on them.

But if you don't think there is a material difference between the Ds & Rs when it comes to persecuting porn and starting prosecutions against porn valley, you are living in an alternate universe. The Rs get a huge chunk of their most reliable votes from the religious right. And since they can't deliver on what their constituents want, namely banning abortion or instituting Christian prayer in the schools, the Republicans make empty political theater by going after gay marriage and porn.

Tis true, Bon Scott Vivant. But let's not forget the other side of the aisle is well know for their political theatre, also. Just throwing it out there, not looking for an arguement.

I'm always curious when someone talks about "sendin' all them illegals back" and "the administration (any administration) having the balls" to shut down these indictments. What would that look like? The problem with having balls is the very real possibility of getting them crushed in the public arena. And NO pol, on any side, wants anything to do with that. Do you spose that illegals could just be quietly packed up and sent home? Fuck no. Could the administration quietly drop this? No way in hell. At the end of the day, what pol, of any stripe is going to roll the dice to save a pornographer? Sorry but true, but when you go into this biz, this is still a risk you take. The Supreme Court was quite ambiguous (jondra?...fuck it's late and I'm wrecked worse than Shelley Lubbens mouth) about it. They know it when they see it. Community standards...all that open to interpretation of the individual bullshit.

In my business it happened to Tommy Chong. It's a risk of doing business in what is still a legal grey area.

I can guarantee you that had Dworkin or McKinnon been put in a position to head the DOJ you would have had obscenity cases coming out the ears and they were about as far away from the religious right as you could get. There are people on the extreme left that hate porn just as much as the far right only they do so for different reasons. Trying reading up on Robert Jenson sometime.

Tommy Chong got royally fucked. He bought that glass business for his son, and the gubment came in and fucked him. He owned for around a year. Walk down the Boardwalk in AC, every other store has 500 bowls and bongs they are selling. Chong needs to show up at Rahm Emmanuel's door w/ a grocery bag of cash and get a pardon.

Dworkin and MacKinnon are dead (in the case of Dworkin, both figuratively and literally.) The Women Against Pornography movement has vanished. The "sign the petition people" lady who used to collect anti-porn signatures in Manhattan first switched to animal rights and then disappeared altogether. The likes of Dworkin and MacKinnon were never even considered for Justice Dept. posts in Dem. admins.

Meanwhile Reagan really did appoint Ed Meese of Meese commission infamy Attorney General, and Bush II not only appointed AG anti-porn uber-prude John Ashcroft who covered up the freaking nude statues at the DOJ, but but both he and his successor Roberto Gonzales stuffed the Justice Department with unqualified except for their anti-porn Christian Right credentials graduates of Jerry Falwell's Liberty University.

Any pornographer voting Republican on the Federal level votes for their own trip to prison, and as such maybe deserves it on too-dumb-to-live grounds.

^^^ Exactly. If you want the government out of your business, you need to vote Libertarian. Progressives, whether liberal (like Obama) or conservative (like Bush), always lead to bigger government and fewer freedoms.

Re: John Stagliano on Trial - 07/15/10 11:07 AM

Didnt mean to derail with the dem comment. I am more interested in what people think of the other part: the fact that fucksticks like Margold and co. were more than happy to keep their mouths shut when 'bad' smut peddlers like Max and the Blacks were being hung out to dry. Now we have a guy who seems to be more liked/respected by the industry and is a little more palatable to the masses. I wonder if the Free Speech Coalition et al. will grow a fucking pair this time out...

AdultFYI just reported that the case was dismissed. Judge said the gubment didn't meet the burden of proof on any count.

I hope that is the green light you pornographers out there needed to start turning it up again. Rough some bitches up. Let them leave your studio w/ a check in their hands, while you mop their pride and lunch off the floor.

Actually it's more like we dodged a bullet here. Probably best to tone down the milk enemas and cum fart cocktails.

Great news, though. This industry owes a lot to Stagliano.

Whats the difference between a picnic table and a nigger?

The picnic table can support a family.

Strange board.

Nigger Boy, you're not fooling anyone.

How can an Ethiopian woman tell when she's pregnant?

When she pulls out her tampon and it's half eaten.

Why are there only 2 pall bearers at a niggers funeral?

A garbage can only has two handles

Seriously Jig, I like you, but there wasn't even any racial talk to incite your racist jokes. Ironic since you're the one always pointing out tritone bringing up racism out of nowhere. At least keep your black jokes for the times they're relevant.

Re: John Stagliano on Trial - 07/17/10 06:01 PM

I made it clear to Tritone about two months ago (maybe a little more, maybe a little less) following one of his "I'm leaving for good this time" meltdown posts that I would follow his every post with a nigger joke since I knew he wouldn't leave for good.

Now it's even funnier to me since he's pretending to be someone else.

Re: John Stagliano on Trial - 07/17/10 06:02 PM

Vin could've been more tactful, but then again, if Tritone wanted to make a clean start (which, BTW: I fully endorse) he should've just regged a new account instead of changing the name and forgetting that you can look up prior posts from the profile.

OK. Call it a fucking draw and start again. Both of you.

What is this? A progressive who can't argue actual points of his beliefs so he turns to personal attacks? Nah that's not totally predictable at all.

Wait, there was a point to your post that required I respond?

You should call up Charin and attend the next AA meeting, you've become a completely humourless aggro twat who rambles on and on about politics when no one else gives a fuck. It's fucking tiresome.

I assume calling me Jamie is some kind of attempt to prolong our dialogue by getting me to ask who that is, etc.

Talking to you is like talking to a belligerent drunk in a bar who is desperately looking for a fight. So boring.

I'll let you have the last word that your always grasp on with both hands so you feel that you've somehow 'won.'

Talking to you is like talking to an effeminate coward (coincidence?). Quick with a snide a remark, but when asked to back it up, always takes the bitch way out. It's over now, you can go wash your panties out Jamie.

PS. your OP still makes no sense.

Interesting derailment. Wasn't it cool the way the judge cornholed lead prosecutor Pamela Satterfield?
