Have you ever read Tristan Taormino's supposedly trendy pieces in Village Voice? She has this aura of being supposedly open-minded yet her writings are distinctly aimed towards propping up the sleazy straight guy fantasy. She's an enabler, basically. She does this by pandering to the sleazy straight guy fantasy - lots of talk about female bisexuality and female homsexuality and how it supposedly blends seamlessly into the heterosexual world. No such charity for male bisexuals or male homosexuals, though. Tristan is also known to make movies for Vivid in which male bisexuality is not permitted in movies that contain both men and women.

Can I just say to Tristan the following: go away. I know few, if any, gay or bi men who like you. You are like one of these females who simply promotes the bisexual double standard and its attendant hypocrisy.

Tristan may have defended Christian, but I see no problem with that.

My gripe with women like Tristan is that they assume this mantle of being supposedly about sexual freedom but in fact are being enablers of the straight male fantasy. She's part of this group of women who have effectively surrendered their sexuality to the sleaszy straight guy fantasy. They've surrendered to a form of patriarchy, basically. Any woman who promotes the bisexual double standard does this.

Tristan ought to be shunned by the gay and bisexual community in general, the sooner the better.
