As I've said here repeatedly, prosecuting DV cases is a tricky thing. No matter what the facts of the case are, some Deputy District Attorney is going to be called out on the carpet in Steve Cooley's office. Two deaths trump any lack of cooperation she may have given.

And you must be out of the loop. It's been well documented that Hwang did more than two years in State prison for viciously assaulting his then-fiance, who, according to the sentencing transcripts, also refused to cooperate with the LADA.
A guy with that kind of history does not easily change. A liger cannot change it's spots. And of course abusers behave in a kind and loving manner... in public. That's the way it always is, Filbert, and you're either woefully naive or deliberately obscuring the facts in an effort to do damage control on Hwang's reputation.

The coroner has found no evidence of Heroin abuse, and I doubt the toxicology report will find any either. Remember, the coroner specifically stated that this was not being investigated as an overdose death.
