I was just asking if you don't care about having your projects reviewed, which is what it sounds like you said. Some people don't--usually web-based companies and, from what it seems, Jules Jordan. I have no problem with that, it's just part of my job to find out. For example, I couldn't care less what B/G you're in, but we might want to do a feature on something you directed, as we do with SexZ regularly. If you don't care, I can cross your projects off my "possibles" list. It's just business, and in no way disingenuous.

Don't go using facts on the guy; he doesn't understand how in the current market a director needs to get his message out to paying customers like those that buy magazines. In the case of this one though, why waste the ink when the other directors at the company do a much better job directing and/or performing?

As far as Jules is concerned, he's very sharp about marketing but you have to be prepared to answer his questions about readership and market. As a means of breaking down some barriers, you might want to interview him first and let the attention speak for itself.

Regarding Jules, I was mostly referring to a general lack of concern about magazine coverage, which I understand completely. He's just not interested in having my writer on his set (which I also get), so we work on a case by case basis with some of his directors. We just covered an Erik Everhard shoot with Rebeca Linares, another exclusive. Jules and Jeff M. have always been great about getting us publicity material, just wanted to clarify that in case it was misunderstood.

Here's a few quotes from the reviews at AVN (which many of you generally consider to whore out the ratings for advertising dollars) on his works to date :

1) Decline: "...a massive love letter from Kurt Lockwood to himself"; "A tale of how a young man was unable to make it in brutal mainstream Hollywood...

2) Lords: "Despite its clever title, there isn't anything particularly clever about this release."

3) Thumbsuckers 2: "There is something pretty creepy about Lockwood's presence here..."
