It's a good idea Jim, but I doubt it would work...the IR fanbois paranoia/seige mentality is too firmly entrenched.

They have a hard time grasping the concept that what goes on in front of the camera is business, nothing more, and not some reflection of the particular performer's worldview in a microcosm.

A girl who is not particularly attracted to black men might do IR on camera, a girl who only dates black guys in her private life might hold off on doing IR on camera. In both cases, the reasons and motivations are exactly the same: To make more money.

Oh, I'm well aware of it, Dan. But it's also true that they can't resist the temptation to badger and harrass a whore to death about it once they get one in their cross hairs. I figure these guys can call in the KSEX show and give Sunny a little "Carreer Advice." Certainly, she needs somebody advising her besides her parents.

DanG -- I get what you are saying, and mostly agree. The problem is that in many cases we never really know why a long-time performer doesn't do IR. Private-life details are kept private and public queries to the question are ignored. So what are we to beleive?

Precisely...I don't want/need to know the whys and wherefores of what a porn girl does or doesn't do, when, where, how and with whom. I also don't believe I have a 'divine right' to know these things just because I have seen a couple of said girl's scenes.

Me, I just vote with my wallet...Jana Cova's done another g/g scene? Well, she's hot and all, but that's all she does...been there, seen it, bought the t-shirt. I'd definitely buy a DVD of her doing b/g, even if she went the Sunny Leone route and did it with her fella. But another girl/girl? Pass.

Evidently, not enough people feel the same way as me (i.e. DP still sell plenty of her titles and are more than happy with her as ag/g only performer), and she can obviously still make a good living doing g/g, so it makes no sense for her to up her levels.

Unfortunately, when you look at the two biggest IR forums on the net, where most of the 'Why don't that stuck up racist bitch do black guys?' whining originates from, they are rife with unchecked piracy. No producer is going to take them and their requests seriously because you can't count on them to vote with their wallets. Why waste time and money trying to appease a customer base which doesn't pay for it's product?

Thus, too many interracial fans succeed in scaring off both the talent and the producers, yet they still can't grasp why said talent and producers aren't falling over themselves to comply with the IR fan's every whim. You couldn't make it up, but there it is...

I dunno Dan. You seem to be really tied up in this supposed link between IR porn and piracy. But the truth is, I don't think the incidence of IR piracy is any higher than other types of porn.

And I honestly don't beleive its what is keeping certain producers from pushing IR-product. No, in my mind I think that is a case of them feeling that offering such products would erode a certain "image" they were trying to protect. Safe, clean, lily-white, etc. In those cases they may spin off other subsidiaries to handle their IR (or just plain black-on-black) "dirty work".

...and finally lets be honest: there are plenty of white customers who buy IR videos by the truckload. This is the main demographic they are going after.

My experience would bare this out.

While there are those who might "specialize" in IR or "asian" postings, there aren't an inoridinary amount of hits for them on the pirating sites I've seen. Nor are IR scenes listed in inordinate frequency.

In general on the "pro" porn, the # of listings & hits appear to be very much in line with the market for the star/genre.

The items that get the most hits actually are "incest" related. Take a random russian b/g scene on webcam and call it brother/sister, cousins, etc., and it will get a massive # of downloads.

Firstly, thanks for proving my point and just choosing to bury your head in the sand and ignore the issue.

Might I suggest you go to the Mr. Marcus forum an check out the B5fan movie thread? It's got 3.3 million views thus far, and well on the way to 3.4. If we equate each page view to just $1 (when in reality, a pirated scene can actually negate a $30 website membership or a DVD purchase if the viewer just wants the one scene/girl), then it has bilked the IR genre out of $3.3 million. Hell, let's be charitable and equate it to just 50 cents...that's still over $1.6 million...and that's just one thread on one forum. Now, let's say that the real figure is actually more like somewhere in the region of $10...that would be a cool $33 million in lost Web and DVD revenue.

Add that to all the other piracy threads on that forum and the other one, and I wouldn't even like to begin to guess at the amount they have cost the IR segment of the industry. But, like you say, these people aren't to blame...it's everybody's fault but their own.

What you fail to grasp is that these are niche-dedicated forums with niche-dedicated audiences. If you go to a piracy forum that embraces the full gamut of pornography, then chances are an interracial movie will pop up 1/50 posts, or 1/100, because there are so many other genres of material. On a niche-dedicated forum, the ratio is 1/1, therefore the piracy is a lot more focused because there's so much more opportunity for the pirate to get exactly (or pretty damn close to) what they're looking for. It's the 'Perfect Storm' of piracy, if you will.

Well, you could honestly not believe in the laws of gravity, but if you take a jump off a skyscraper, you're going to fall and go splat on the sidewalk. What you believe and what you think don't necessarily tally up to what is.

Where did I state otherwise or imply that it was a black-only problem? Please re-read my post for what it is and stop trying to turn everything into an issue of race (yet again).

I know for a fact that plenty of the IR fanbase is white, but it makes me chuckle to hear black IR fans bitching about cuckold movies, 'My Daughter's Fucking A Nigga' or Spring Thomas because 'It's what whitey wants to see/hear'...again, it comes down to ignoring the Golden Rule: He who makes the gold, makes the rules. Perhaps IR porn is geared towards what whitey wants because whitey is prepared to pay for it? Why is whitey the 'main demographic they are going after'? See above.

The sad fact is that when it comes time for the next IR-holdout girl to do her first IR scene on camera (like, Amy Ried, for example), it will probably be for a white producer like Jules Jordan, not a black one like WCP or Mercenary. Why is this? See above.

I think it's high time for a lot of the IR fanbois to take a good long hard look in the mirror and realise that 'The Man' isn't keeping you down, but you are.

But seeing as that doesn't involve blaming everybody else, I can't see that happening. Tritone, why not go over to the Mr. Marcus forum and make an impassioned plea for them to stop the piracy, and explain to them the way of the world wherein if they stop pirating product and start paying for it, black producers will have more money, more clout, and you'll start seeing the kind of IR porn they want to see with the holdout performers they want to see in it, and less of the kind of IR that whitey wants to see.
