This could be interesting. According to
this post on AdultFYI.com, the CDC is recommending a new drug be used on gonorrhea cases as the standard drugs are becoming ineffective.
The new drug requires a shot, which could mean less chance of performers self-medicating and masking the symptoms.

Somehow it sounds better that way. In related dissappointing news, the CDC had this to say about bacterial vaginoisis (BV)...

Yeah...up to 25% of men presenting with gonorrhea in major urban areas have this new, antibiotic resistant strain. Not good. There are many reasons why I'm happy not to be a hooker anymore, but not getting antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea of the throat just so I can qualify as a "GFE" and get an extra point for performance on TER is chief among them. I shudder to think of the agencies that send around escorts on "tours" where they see (aka swallow the baby batter of) six men a day, 5 to 6 days consecutively. It's an epidemiological disaster waiting to happen.
It's interesting to see that this news has made XPT, but has made barely a ripple on any of the escort review boards.

Pinupmutant, I felt compelled to post it, given the number of STD threads this forum produces. That, and the number of performers who choose to self-medicate and hide their symptoms which just puts everyone at risk.
I know a lot of chicks suffering from BV right now and a lot of them think it's because they keep themselves too clean.
Interesting that they don't know just what causes it. Apart from being slutty, of course.
