XPT on AdultFYI

Gene Ross at it again...

As far as Rog's comments are concerned, regardless what he says here, he always came across with a bias when I read his reviews. Then there is Den, who I don't even think watches most titles from JMP, Ana/Dia or Extreme.

On the other hand, JMP isn't one of the companies I can see him impartially stomaching half of the time, but at least he gives them good props in this article. I do agree with one poster's "honesty" -v- "taste" argument about him though.

As far as the one fellow tossing in legalities of business practice at ADT, I'm thinking there is more to it. ADT acts as a distributor/outlet of screeners to it's many reviewers, and also has paid the way for many of said reviewers to attend the conventions. Sooo, there is consideration...what's so unlawful about the copyright?

Yep, I'm amazed he didn't read the creation dates on the posts. Maybe he's feeling nostalgic for the good old days of porn

Actually, they don't pay for most, if any, of their reviewers to go to Vegas. Reviewers can get press credentials without them (hint: they are FREELY provided by those managing the shows) to most industry events and not all of the reviews are written based on screeners (though again, those are provided FREE by the production companies, some going directly to reviewers and others filtering through by a third party nowadays from what I've been told).

Copyright law is a very boring topic for most and not nearly as simple to understand as some would lead you to believe, especially thanks to the multitude of issues relating to the internet. Still, as I said in the other thread, the validity of the OP has not diminished since it was made and is a worthy topic of conversation regardless of the specific websites. I think that Gene, a former writer for AVN that has made NUMEROUS claims regarding his previous employer's practices, understands that and ran with it using good faith. If it hits a sore spot with some website owners, it tells more about them than Gene, myself, or others discussing it now.

Is that Smartt, or Windsock pretending to be Smartt. Sock was using the name on the Gardening website, and was pretty funny about it, too.

It's Smartt. The original post was from over 3 years ago.

By the way, I'm curious why so many of you think she's a whore. Technically, she'd have to have something a person would want to buy. Absent that, I don't think it's fair to call her a whore. Just sayin'

Chalk up one more posting without an adt dig as she accused me of via email today.

Really? You had both Me and Conky fooled. The misspellings, the drunken cadance, I would've sworn it was Sock. In any event, it was well done.

Curse you, King. I was convinced you were Windsock. Good impression man, particularly that last post:

"It is unfortunate that the inter-nets provide a vehicle for such obvious abuse and wastes the time of good people just trying to help others. I would like to distance myself from that lecherous link and state openly that even though I may have registered on the same day as Kronky I am in no way an advocate of such behaviour nor do I support such websites. It's a shame, really."

I'm not really keen on posting emails these days. I did it a few times years ago (like when Skeeter whined at me for not adoring his wife) and took a lot of flack for doing do (though it was encouraged on ADT at the time). It wasn't very long or detailed though, just a short rant that seemed to show her monthly visitor must've been paying her a visit, and largely out of character compared to her meek emails of the past. Eh...

T'was completely facetious Don, but thanks for the detailed explanation.
