So I'm watching the Nat'l Geographic special "Multiples" and within the first five minutes they casually throw out the statistic that 1 in every 400 sets of fraternal twins have separate fathers.

Based on current US population statistics, if 1 in 400 chicks that gets knocked up with multiples has boned more than one guy at a time, that means that there are currently 379,000 chicks in the US that will get knocked up by more than one dude when they get gangbanged at some point in their life!

I'm losing you ...

Based on your # of women: 151,600,000

Say 2.5 pregnancies to term/woman:
379,000,000 pregnancies (likely high)

In the US there are 11 fraternal twins/ 1000 births:
4,169,000 fraternal twins

Taking your 1/400 mixed fathers stat:
10,423 fraternal twins with mixed fathers

Assuming even distribution, that's less than 150/year over 70 years of life expectation.

But, too me at least, this is still astounding!!

I'm VERY disappointed in you guys. We did not need stats for this.
