Porn Company Street Teams

I noticed a few porn companies (such as Video Team) have street teams. while this is an effective marketing tool in music, sports and various brands. I wonder how effective is it for porn companies? Who really invests the time and money in to a good program? Or has it been a crash and burn scenario for other companies?

Sineplex has a street team too.

You know how a radio station has "remotes" and hands out bumper stickers, etc.
They basically promote the company.
