I have realized that the cage is more then a forum to shoot the shit, it is one of the most useful tools in porn and i'll tell you why.

It costs money and time and its what is dreaded not just in porn but any profession, but in porn more so. Porn companies want to make money and stars make money, like in mainstream entertainment a movie with julia roberts with a plot as thick as mr poo's hairline is going to make 10 times more then a good movie with a unestablished actor, its a simple fact. Porn runs on the same rules. A shitty, weird artsy fartsy want to be deep jenna jameson crappy feature where she fucks one dude where half the sex is missing because they want to fill that time with stripper nazis is going to sell more then a scene with a much younger , hotter newer talent with raw sex that actually makes your dick hard. So when a company thinks they have found the new big thing in porn they want to lock up that star to a contract that allows her to only make features for that company, now that company is going out on a limb, investing time and money on most probably some airy 18 year old with stars in her eyes and a drug addict bass player boyfriend from some b grade rock band at home, they have done all the hard work, signed her, promoted her, all she has to do is turn up fuck and leave, thats it. 4 hours pass, crew standing around, nothing she isn't here, turns out she wasn't in the mood to perform that day and her phone was cut off so she couldn't call to tell anyone and she is in mexico for the weekend because her boyfriend had something to pick up there. This costs companies a ton, word gets around and soon the fans get pissed too, because chances are she is only making a feature every few months and the fan that was hanging out to see fresh stuff of her has to wait.
