Hey everyone, I found this forum and I think it is great! I tried looking through many topics but I thought if someone here is kind enough to shed some light on this for me, I would be truly grateful...
Background: Booking a model from an agency... what is the normal agency/ booking fee? The agency is charging me 50%-75% booking fee of the model's rate.
Is this outrageous? I have been used to 20% - 25% fees for an agent or quasi-agent (boyfriend, pimp etc.)
thanks - Mike

I have always paid a $100 flat fee for booking a girl, and $50 for a guy.

Hypothetical / Hypodermic Question: Suppose you are doing a scene for "Adam & Eve" Studios, coincidentally titled "Adam and Eve and the first ever Reverse Cowgirl", with a theme set at the Dawn of creation in the garden of Eden. Since all the animals back then were tame, no doubt they kinda just sat and lounged around watching the first 2 humans fuck and otherwise discover the joys of the toys between their legs. To artistically capture this mood and setting, you and your Mum Suze must bring in some actual ANIMALS on set to incorporate into the scene. What rate would Holly and Suze Randall Productions be willing to pay for, oh say, a creature.....like........THIS ONE!:

serious, what rate does the Big Kitty Cat Cougar command? And what can I get if I allow you to borrow my exotic Peruvian Goldfish and set their Authentic Peruvian Pond Aquarium in the background for the next time you shoot Rebecca Linares getting balled pile driver style? My fish are great, they love to stare at people having sex, the last hooker I had over made me put a cover over them so they couldnt watch ...
[guapo]Yo times be tuff, a nigger need to make cashola anyway nigga can, incuding pimpin out dem' goldfish yo...[/guapo]

A licensed and bonded agent in California is legally only entitled to up 20% of what the performer earns. An agent cannot technically charge the producer a booking fee.
Standards and practices in the adult industry is that the producer pays a flat rate or around 10% of the performers rate for a booking fee.
50 to 75% is ridiculous....
pornlaw.....I have found out through my source that this "company"...is neither licensed and/or bonded and for all intents and purposes is NOT an "agency"...unless they can provide their agency # here in this thread, it will be assumed that it is true. So what do you get when you deal with UNREGULATED businesses.....I don’t know...I guess were are all seeing it in real life...just ask the SEC Chair, Federal Reserve Chair, Treasury Secretary....or that guy living at 1600 PA Ave NW.
For those wanting to just know who it is....I will give you some hints......
They all recently completed a "so called" merger.....the main actual "real" agency is in LA and has something about a "star" in its title....they have satellite offices in Florida and New York......and the office in question is NOT run by anyone named Eli.
Now come on people....somebody guess!!!!!!
FUCK....I really need to see a big winner in this thread!!!!!

I am actually working on this issue so I really cant comment about it, but I will try to make all your concerns go away when it comes to this particular agency.
